A&E has kicked Duck Dynasty’s patriarch Phil Robertson has been suspended from the hit show for stating that homosexuality is sinful and that he personally does not understand the attraction.
In statements that threaten the A&E reality hit’s wildly popular and uplifting brand of faith, family and hunting, the Robertson patriarch said: “Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong… Sin becomes fine. Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.” Robertson then paraphrased Corinthians from the Bible: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
And if that wasn’t explicit enough, the “Duck Commander” added: “It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
The network issued the following statement to EW: “We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.”
Now, if my dad was kicked off a show for stating the truth, I don’t know that I would continue without him.
No more happy, happy, happy.

A liberal can state anything and get away with it. But when a person of religious convictions states the truth, the fur flies.

Simple solution: They all refuse to do the show and then take it to TBN or some barely watched Christian channel, and voila, suddenly everyone is watching said channel. I'm sure EWTN wouldn't mind boosting those ratings with a hit TV show.

Pat's comment: "Now, if my dad was kicked off a show for stating the truth, I don't know that I would continue without him." And 77a35f90's devastating reply? "The 'truth' according to your beliefs …." Amazing how many people think that kind of remark constitutes a witty rebuttal.

interesting how my comment was deleted when i said nothing offensive, yet when people call gays "faggots" on this blog in other posts, it goes unnoticed and justified. Very catholic actions.

Walmart's going to hate having to get all of that Duck Dynasty gear on clearance – talk about a huge loss of money. I hope none of the sons sell out to their beliefs for temporary gain. Laws say what's Legal – but the Bible tells us what's right, and it don't change just because the laws do.

Whats the point of an INTERVIEW if you can't give your honest views?
Phil did nothing wrong, if A&E wants him out for answering a question in an interview then I hope another network takes over the show- a network with a spine that doesn't quake when it hears the bellowing of liberal cows chanting "silence the Christian!". Again…what is the point of an interview if you can't give your point of view? Ridiculous…
I ranted about this on my blog…

Nice "truth" you got there. Your "truth" denigrates people. That's we're intolerant of.
So live with it, sucka

A&E won't inherit the kingdom of god either. Worthless scum. Typical Liberals, Blot out the truth and worship everything that is wrong in the world.

A&E's facebook page is blowing up with people telling them where to shove it. It's hilarious.

I am calling my cable provider and having A&E blocked!!!

You asked his opinion and were surprised? You gay rights extremists are reallly messing up the movement. If you're going to attack someone for not agreeing with your way of life you have lost your battle. I don't like gay sex. Doesn't mean I hate homosexuals. I have very close friends that are gay that I love very much. There is a big difference between hate and not relating.

Amen, Michael! And there's also a big difference between hate and not approving. I have gay friends and relatives that I also love very much. I don't approve of their lifestyle and they know it, but with that noted, we move forward and still treat each other with kindness and respect. They know of my concern for their souls and that I will continue to pray for them. Just because there's a difference of values doesn't mean that hysteria and name calling has to ensue.

I am not a vegetarian. I just don't understand it. I also couldn't care less. But now I realize if I disagree, I must also hate. Thank you political platitudes of the left and right for making every opinion I have a debasement of all who think differently.
Also, the rest of the cast should stand by their values. Although not as profound as a prophet telling a king he must obey God or die…these seemingly subtle ways of Not denying Christ are just as real. Threatening ones livelihood is just as real. And I expect the beatitude referring to blessed are those persecuted for my namesake apply to those who may lose their livelihood.
I'm not sure who is oppressing who here, but seems like the only victims in the gay movement are everyone else.

I guess I will quit watching anything on A&E and there are a few shows on there that I do watch. I hope that they rest of the Family tells them no Phi no Show and that another network picks it up. Everyone is entiltled to their personal opinion whether it is based on religious beliefs or othewise. Thats the problem with our country today. It is okay to bash someone for anything, lifestyle etc, only if you dont do it on releigous beliefs. Chances are those people that are doing the the bit!@#$% never watch the show anyway.

If you are a christain, you shouldn't be using slander to refer to any type of people. The reality of it all is that we are made to.love God, and love people. I personaly know that the bible clearly states that homosexuality does not come from the lord, but we are not to judge pthers, but love them. Phil was asked what his opinion was on a paticular subject, not.once did he say he hated them, or anything of that nature. Im sick everyone trying to protect everyones feelings, expect those who.follow christ
