CNS News:
Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) told members of the House Thursday that a bill putting a moratorium on the funding of Planned Parenthood tells Americans, “forget your health, you can just die.”
“This bill creates chaos and in that chaos peoples lives will be put at risk, DeLauro said. “This bill is spiteful, it’s mean-spirited and it is cruel. It tells millions of low income Americans ‘forget your health, you can just die.’ Enough is enough. I urge my colleagues to vote against this bill.”
Uhm, does she not know what Planned Parenthood does for a living?
The best part is that she then quotes the head of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Mark DeFrancesco, who says that if Planned Parenthood would close, women in his own area would have no health clinics in the area. OK. Never mind that HE’S THERE and he runs the Westwood Women’s Health in Waterbury, Connecticut, a division of Women’s Health Connecticut. So there’s that. And on top of that, a quick google search shows that, hey, there’s the Women’s Wellness Clinic – Women’s Health Clinic. And it’s right there in Waterbury.
And then there’s also the Center for Women’s Health, also in Westbury. Yup. Them too.
So maybe Mark DeFrancesco is telling stories because ACOG and Planned Parenthood are completely in bed together.
Hey, don’t be too hard on Mark and Rosa. Once you’re ok with killing babies for profit, lying just ain’t that big a deal.
