The group Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests has just seen one of its founders resign suddenly. Barbara Blaine, founder of the advocacy group, resigned immediately. This comes on the heels of the director of the organization resigning suddenly last month.

All of this comes amid news that a former employee filed a lawsuit in an Illinois state court, accusing SNAP of accepting financial kickbacks from attorneys in the form of “donations.” For those “kickbacks,” SNAP allegedly refers the victims of sexual abuse to the attorneys who donated and then lawsuits are filed against the Church.

I’m guessing SNAP knows that this lawsuit is going to get ugly.

The complaint also alleges that “SNAP is motivated largely by the personal animus of its directors and officers against the Catholic Church.”

Such a shame.
