President Joe Biden said of the filibuster that he’s willing to get rid of it, but only if he has to.

“We’re going to get a lot done. And if we have to — if there’s complete lockdown and chaos as a consequence of the filibuster, then we’ll have to go beyond what I’m talking about,” Biden said.

So what he’s really saying is that if the Senate doesn’t do what the Democrat Party wants then the filibuster will have to go. This is ironic in that, the filibuster is intended to prevent this one party bullying.

This should frighten everyone. Congress is supposed to be slow moving. It’s supposed to be difficult to pass legislation.

But now, if the legislature stands in the way of the intentions of the Democrat Party then it must go and the media is sadly all on board.

This is the same exact thing with the Supreme Court. Joe Biden has essentially said he doesn’t want to have to pack the court by adding justices but he might be forced to consider it.

This is a threat. He’s telling the high court that if they do something that the Democrats don’t like, be prepared for at least two more justices on the bench. Nice court you have there. Be a shame if something happened to it.

This would lead half the country without a voice. No legislative representation if the filibuster is removed and then no judicial representation if the court is packed or too cowed by the prospect of a packed court to make any difficult decisions.

We will be seeing what happens when half a country is left out of the process and left without protection. This massive and dangerous social experiment has been tried before throughout the world. It has typically ended in violence.
