Just a few weeks after a leading Hindu in India said, “Let us drag people from the church and stop conversions at any cost,” a 16 year old Christian boy suffered burns over 60 percent of his body.
The Christian Post reports: “A 16-year-old Christian boy suffered burns over 60% of his body after an acid attack in eastern India’s Bihar state. The family says they suspect Hindu nationalists are behind it because the boy is a leader in a local church and the area they live in has anti-Christian sentiments.
The victim, identified as Nitish Kumar, was attacked with acid last week soon after he left his house in a village to go to the market early in the morning, the U.S.-based persecution watchdog International Christian Concern reported Saturday.
Almost immediately after leaving the house, the boy was carried back by people as he screamed due to burns all over his body, the victim’s sister, Raja Davabi, was quoted as saying.
“It was a horrifying scene of my brother,” she said, “I started yelling and crying looking at my brother. He was in terrible pain at that point and all that I could do is to share the pain by wrapping him in my hands.”
The boy was taken to a nearby clinic for first aid treatment and then transported to a specialized burn unit in the state capital of Patna.”

Glenn Beck’s Nazarene Fund is attempting to fly Christians out of Afghanistan. Guess who is standing in the way?
The Daily Mail reports:
“Conservative commentator Glenn Beck has claimed the US State Department is blocking his efforts to rescue Afghan Christians from the threat of being ‘burned alive or crucified’ by the Taliban.
Beck said in an interview with Fox News on Thursday that the organization he supports, the Nazarene Fund, has flown 5,100 Christians and other refugees out of Afghanistan since it fell to the Taliban earlier this month.
But he claimed that on Thursday morning, shortly before the deadly bombing outside the Kabul airport, the group had 500 Afghan Christians inside the airport ready to depart, only to have them ordered back outside the gates by officials.
Beck said that he feared members of that group were among the scores killed in the suicide bomb attack that ripped through the crowd just outside one of the airport gates.
‘We believe that our State Department is directly responsible for what we believe were some of these people,’ Beck told Fox News, ‘I don’t know how many survived.’
‘The State Department has blocked us every step of the way,’ he continued.
‘The State Department and the White House have been the biggest problem,’ he said, even as other countries tried to coordinate on the efforts. “

The Biden Administration is seeking to gut a federal rule that prohibits public universities and colleges from, among other things, removing the funding of religious student organizations whose leadership policies conflict with campus anti-discrimination rules.
The Christian Post reports:
“According to the summary of the rule, the regulation was created in response to then-President Donald Trump signing Executive Order 13864 in March 2019, as well as recent litigation regarding student rights.
“These regulations also require a public institution to not deny a religious student organization any of the rights, benefits, or privileges that are otherwise afforded to other student organizations,” stated the summary.
In the blog entry, Acting Assistant Secretary Cooper also wrote that following the review, the Education Department expects to publish “a notice of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register to propose rescinding parts of the Free Inquiry Rule.”
“Throughout this process and beyond, public colleges and universities must ensure protection of First Amendment freedoms, including religious freedom and freedom of association, which long predate the Free Inquiry Rule,” she continued.
“Compliance with nondiscrimination requirements must be in a manner consistent with the First Amendment. We urge public colleges and universities and their students to engage thoughtfully on these matters …”
Americans United for Separation of Church and State, which, alongside American Atheists, is challenging the Free Inquiry Rule in court, celebrated the announcement.”

The Christian Post also reports:
“China’s communist regime has ordered citizens in the country’s northeastern region to spy on Christians and report any “illegal religious activities,” including preaching and religious house gatherings. Informants will be rewarded with $150 for each tip, according to a report.
The administration of the Meilisi Daur District in Heilongjiang Province’s Qiqihar city released a document titled, “The Reward System For Reporting Illegal Religious Activities Offences,” saying informants would be paid up to 1,000 yuan ($150), China Christian Daily reported.
Officials, it says, are looking for any information — through a phone call, email or letter — on unqualified religious personnel, unauthorized trans-regional activities, preaching and distribution of printed religious literature, audio-visual products outside places of worship, unauthorized donations or private house gatherings.
The objective, it adds, is to “strengthen the control of illegal religious activities in the district, prevent any COVID-19 cluster resulting from religious gatherings, mobilize the public to engage in preventing, suppressing illegal religious activities, and ensure a harmonious and stable religious landscape.”
Are we all getting the idea yet? Christianity is under threat EVERYWHERE in the world. EVERYWHERE. In some places its violence. In others, it’s imprisonment. In others, it’s bureaucrats, politicians, and lawyers seeking to curb your God-given rights.
It is the least reported worldwide trend. On purpose.
We are entering a dark time. We have not been promised easy times. Comfort is not the goal. Pray for strength. Pray to be a light in the advancing darkness.
