Whoops. Decades of a ruthless one-child policy and forced abortions has some negative real world implications? Who knew?
Socialism and communism are Ponzi schemes. The government spends money it doesn’t have with the hope that the next generation will pay for it. It kinda’ sorta’ works right up until the moment that you don’t have the next generation.
When the next generation is smaller than the preceding one, it puts a heavy load on the smaller generation. When that happens over two, three, four generations you have a giant financial load on a much smaller generation. At some point it becomes untenable.
This is what China has done to itself with its plan of forced vasectomies and forced abortions.
But in recent years, China has realized that they were in trouble. Big trouble. In fact, in May of last year, China announced that couples could now have up to three children. This is not because they’ve realized the error of their ways. This is because they’re panicking. However, their announcement has not inspired a baby boom. In fact, the birth rate continues to fall.
Why? There are many reasons. The government has attacked Christianity and sought to destroy it so people don’t feel they have a responsibility to “be fruitful and multiply” and they certainly don’t view life as sacred or as a gift from God. The other reason is that even though it’s taken this long for the politicians and rulers to understand the economy was on a knife’s edge, the people understood it long ago. Millions have been driven into a level of poverty we can’t comprehend.
So now, And, The Washington Post is worried that the China they loved so dearly may be changing into some right wing tyranny that might restrict access to abortions and contraceptives.
WaPo gonna’ WaPo. Who cares about them?
The sad thing here is that China is still not understanding. They still think they can regulate their way out of this disaster. It won’t work. Christianity would. Allowing Christianity to flourish would fix this problem. The problem for the rulers is that it would also have people questioning their tyrannical rule. They’d see that God gave them free will but their political overlords have sought to strip it from them. They’d see life as sacred and therefore see its governments actions as a sin.
Most of the articles you’ll read about this problem won’t delve down into the reality of the situation. They’ll just superficially see it as a financial issue or as poor planning by the government. But in the end, this is a spiritual problem.

February 9, 2017 was not one of Hu’s better days. Unbeknownst to him, family planning authorities in his home county in Yunnan, a province in southwestern China, had learned that he was the father of four children – three by one wife and one by his second, after a divorce.
When he returned to celebrate the Lunar New Year, they swooped. He was at a party at a friend’s home when several officials dragged him away, accused him of violating the two-child policy, and forced him to have a vasectomy.
“The family planning officials said I had disturbed their normal work and told me, ‘You must agree with us today, since you’re here,’” he told the English-language magazine Sixth Tone. “If I didn’t agree, they said, they would detain me and my wife for 15 days, then force me to get a vasectomy upon my release.”
Five years on, Mr Hu must feel a bit indignant. Because nowadays the fashion amongst China’s family planners is to refuse to give men vasectomies. They appear to be panicking over China’s plummeting birth rate and declining population growth .
The China bureau chief of the Washington Post, Lily Kuo, reports that hospitals are refusing to do the operation. There is no official ban, but suddenly the procedure is no longer available. According to official figures, the number of vasectomies performed nationwide fell from 149,432 in 2015 to 4,742 in 2019.”
Ready for the really ironic thing? If China goes full on anti-abortion and anti-vasectomy in a last ditch effort to save themselves the media and all the elites may finally turn on them because nothing is more important to them than abortion. For decades the left has all but ignored the horror of forced abortions in China. You know what they won’t ignore? A China that disallows abortion.
