Christianity without God
WHAT IS TRUTH?
That’s the question Pilate asked and lies at the heart of our culture’s issues today. But it’s the one question we refuse to face.
We want the morals of Christianity, at least some of them. We want the rights granted by our Creator but no responsibilities toward Our Creator.
We want to say that Christ was a great prophet but not God. As CS Lewis pointed out, Jesus does not leave you that option. He either is who He claimed to be or He is a madman. No middle ground.
Without God, there are no rights.
We live in an age where there is no acknowledgement of objective truth. What is truth? What do you mean by “human?” Gender is a mere social construct.
This is why we get so many young people saying they’re spiritual but not religious. They seek a Christianity without God. Make no mistake, this is from the enemy. Satan loves this postmodern illusion.
So when you consider what’s last stake in this fight, it’s more than it seems. It’s a battle for souls, for truth, and about whether there is objective truth. It’s a battle over whether human rights even exist.
It’s a little funny that God gave humans rights. When we ignore Him, we see our rights taken away and the very definition of “human” can’t be agreed upon.
Without Him is anarchy. That is what we race towards in our postmodern world.
