Don’t Say Gay? WB Edited Out Gay Talk in “Fantastic Beasts” to Please Chinese Censors

Hollywood came out strongly against Florida’s bill which was derided as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill but Warner Bros. just admitted to cutting some scenes with gay dialogue out of the latest “Fantastic Beasts” movie in order to appease Chinese censors.

The scenes in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” related to statements made by the Dumbledore character about his same-sex attraction to/relationship with the character Grindelwald…

“As a studio, we’re committed to safeguarding the integrity of every film we release, and that extends to circumstances that necessitate making nuanced cuts in order to respond sensitively to a variety of in-market factors,” said the statement from Warner Bros.

“Our hope is to release our features worldwide as released by their creators but historically we have faced small edits made in local markets. In the case of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, a six-second cut was requested and Warner Bros accepted those changes to comply with local requirements but the spirit of the film remains intact,” it added.

These people are delighted to rail against you and lecture you but if it hurts their bottom line then they’re willing to run away from those they pretend to champion.

All their braves stances and talk is just b.s. It’s all for show.

Look at the way Disney filmed one of their movies right next door to a slave camp in China but couldn’t have cared less.

In the end, though, it comes down to us. If we refused to see the garbage they’re putting out to indoctrinate our children then they’d back down just like they do to China. We don’t do it so they talk down to us and scold us as they pretend to champion the people they’re so willing to turn on for a buck. They know that a great many of us will see the movie anyway so they can pretend to be “allies” and wear their rainbow flags because it doesn’t impact their bottom line.
