The words “maverick” and “brave” seem to come to mind. Those were the words used to describe Republicans who stood against their party for decades. But now, it’s a Democrat standing against his party. Gone are the laudatory adjectives.
Here’s a few of the recent ones:
The Insider: Bernie Sanders says Joe Manchin is ‘intentionally sabotaging the president’s agenda,’ believes Democrats erred in negotiating with him ‘like he was serious’
Rolling Stone: Bernie Sanders Is Mad as Hell at Joe Manchin’s Corruption, And He’s Not Gonna Take It Anymore
The New Yorker: Joe Manchin Plays the Role of Wrecker, Again
The Guardian: The other Joe: how Manchin destroys Biden’s plans, angering Democrats.
Wrecker. Destroyer. Saboteur. Corrupt. Unserious.
Gee, that’s very different than the praised heaped on Republicans who voted against their party, isn’t it?
Joe Manchin doesn’t want to add a trillion dollars to the deficit in the name of climate change and he doesn’t want a federal bill enshrining abortion as a federal right. Why? Because his voters don’t want him to in West Virginia.
So when the media writes about Joe Manchin just know they feel the same way about you if you’re one of those people who’s not all in on bankrupting the country over climate change or federalizing abortion rights for all nine months of pregnancy just remember they hate you.
They hate Manchin because they hate you. They say “Democracy dies in darkness.” They are the darkness. They spread darkness. The media is no longer interested in facts. They are narrative spreaders for the radical left, which has taken over the Democrat Party and the Deep State, the most powerful anti-democracy cabal this country has ever seen. They are thugs who seek to demonize and cancel you wreckers, destroyers, and saboteurs.
To the media, the people themselves are sabotaging the leftist agenda and that needs to stop. They attack Manchin. They attack you. So when they say “Democracy dies in darkness” they’re really talking about feature, not a bug. That is their goal.
