It’s obviously wrong and sinful to demonize an entire group…except when that group is traditional Catholics.
Those people you’re allowed to call them all sorts of names. You can call them “rigid” or compare them to the pharisees. You can mock them if they get Covid. You can accuse them of living in the past and without joy. You can say they are acting out of some vague “insecurity.”
So what we’ve learned is that judging people is bad…except when you’re duding trans. Then it’s good. Got it?

With all do respect, I have heard plenty of Trads judge their fellow NO brothers and sisters without hesitation. From being told that we are not faithful Catholics to that we all believe in things not in line with Church teaching to being told I do not have a valid Eucharist, I have seen plenty of judging by that side of the aisle. It is always easier to pull the log out of our brother’s eye instead of our own.

This is definitely a problem with the people in the pews on both sides, but I think this article was meant to be speaking to those in positions of power in the Church. When was the last time you heard a bishop or a major Catholic publication call for the Novus Ordo to be entirely shut down and abolished because all of its attendees are sinners causing division? Yet we here that very often regarding the TLM, coming from even those in the highest ranks in the Vatican.

Cheri Q. I have to agree with you, there is plenty of judging going on from both camps. As a Traditional (spell that TLM) Catholic I try hard to avoid and prevent it.
What bothers me most isn’t what other members of the laity say, most just do not understand and probably have never experienced the TLM. What bothers me is what the focus of this article was, what the hierarchy of the Church say about us. This comes from Pope Francis on down through Cardinals, Bishops and Priests. That is what hurts.
To have the prelates of our Church detracting from us hurts terribly.
Have a blessed day! God bless you always!

Our Church decreed the NO as a valid liturgical rite. Meaning? It is a valid mass, Eucharist is valid, the bread and wine is turned into the real Presence just like the TLM. It is NOT a sin to attend a NO or is it a sin to attend a TLM. If I receive the Body and Blood of Christ in the NO as I would in the TLM then the same grace received is offered in both orders. Our Church would not nor cannot force the NO if it is a heresy. Most people in the USA have NO choice but attend NO. Do people really believe Christ would allow the NO if it was not valid? Gates of hell will not prevail? Yes, perhaps the TLM is more reverent but most cannot attend. That said I have attended reverent and holy masses of the NO most of my life. I cannot believe Christ would condemn me for not being able to attend a TLM when the NO is Church mandated, the Church meaning Christ. If the NO is your cup of tea or the if the TLM is your cup of tea then stop condemning each other for BOTH offer the real Presence. Now, get off your high horses and live and let live. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeshhhhhh.
