Besides just wanting to watch the world burn, why is the left so intent on destroying marriage and family.
It’s also because they view Christianity as patriarchal and oppressive. But at some point it surely occurred to them that the more we destroy the culture, the more people will look to Big Government.
Look at this alarming stat.
Married men broke Republican by 20 pts
Married women broke R by 14 pts
Unmarried men broke R by 7 pts
But *unmarried women* broke D “by whopping 37 pts”

It has been reported that young unmarried women saved this vote for Democrats. And women are getting married later and later, if ever.
The Hill reported last year:
Since the start of the 21st century, the U.S. marriage rate has declined from more than eight marriages per 1,000 down to six marriages per 1,000 population in 2019. That marriage rate is the lowest level since the U.S. government began keeping marriage records for the country in 1867.
Also, 70 years ago a large majority of U.S. households, approximately 80 percent, were made up of married couples. In 2020, the proportion of households consisting of married couples fell to 49 percent.
In short, why is the marriage rate plummeting and the family structure disintegrating? Because it behooves the left to make that happen.
This is not a crazy thought. The entire story of history is people chasing power and doing whatever they had to do to achieve it. That is why George Washington is such a unique figure in that he turned away the power to return to his farm. That is an oddity in history. You’ll read page after page of this person wanting this and that person wanting this and they will do whatever it takes to get it.
That is where we are now. The left views family and the Church as obstacles to their power.
This is a scary thought when the government, the media, and academia all are intent on destroying the family. The Church is the only institution that can stand in the way of such destruction but we’ve been relatively silent. Not me and you. But the institutional Church has been mostly quiet.
Cardinal Carlo Caffarra reported that Sister Lucia dos Santos, one of the Fatima visionaries, sent him a letter predicting that the final battle between Christ and Satan would be over marriage and the family.
It seems we are here. Pray. Speak out often. Speak up when you can. And pray some more. And teach your children about marriage and faith and love.
Hate will not overcome hate. Love, faith, and sacrifice is the antidote to evil.

Yes and no. A good analogy can readily be found in “Chain of Command, Part II” from Star Trek: The Next Generation. In this episode, Capt. Picard is tortured by a Cardassian who insists that Picard say AND BELIEVE that there are five lights on his desk when there are obviously only four. Gul Madred does not care a fig about the lights; this is about breaking Picard and his perception of reality. Once Picard is broken, his ideas about much more important things can be reprogrammed.
This is what the pronoun mandate is about. This is why we are told we MUST say AND BELIEVE that Bruce Jenner is now a woman. If they can make us believe that, they can make us believe anything.
Don’t think for a moment this is merely human scheming, though. This is demonic.

Good comparison. That episode was inspired by the Orwell book 1984. It is true. We are supposed to surrender our will. Another good analogy can be found in CSLewis Screwtape letters, #8-9. Satan does something similar…

Yeah. I’ve never gotten around to reading 1984. I know there are lots of good references from it, but it sounds like (a) quite a downer and (b) a bit too extreme to be plausible.

To discuss this issue without referencing totalitarian forms of government attempts to abolish the Church and families ignores the obvious elephant in the room. The totalitarian attackes are and were real not sci fi fantasy TV shows.

Next time maybe read before you comment, because THE WHOLE FREAKIN’ POINT was about what is going on in real life — not about Star Trek and not about the book 1984. However, (1) what is going on in real life is not simply a government action. This is happening very much in the private sphere, too. “Guvment = bad” is not enough to explain what is happening to American society today. Likewise, (2) the point is not to win elections, but to break minds and corrupt bodies and souls.
