Pope Francis, when discussing offering the Eucharist to pro-abortion politicians said he has never denied Communion to anyone, even pro-abortion politicians.
But if someone kneels and attempts to receive Communion on the tongue…then all bets are off?
In the video you can see that one row over to the left there’s a man who clearly receives Communion on the tongue. So is it just the kneeling that caused offense? Was there some rule promulgated beforehand or is this the decision of one priest?
Looking at it, I’m thinking that the priest may have seemed willing to offer Communion on the tongue but not if the person was kneeling. I could be wrong on that part. Things were moving quickly. But then why refuse Communion to the man while kneeling?
I get that it was a crowded area and having people kneeling would’ve made it more difficult but refusing them Communion seems like an overly strict response.
