Those who brought you the “mostly peaceful” riots throughout the country have pretty much gotten off scot-free but if you block an abortion clinic for one morning you will face up to a decade in prison.
Also, if you burn down a church or a crisis pregnancy center the feds will not really look for you. They’ll say they are but then they won’t.
A jury found five pro-life activists guilty of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act and conspiracy against rights. They face more than a decade in prison for standing up for the unborn.
In a statement to LifeSiteNews at the courthouse on Tuesday, defendant William Goodman urged his supporters “to forgive the jury, the judge, and all those who witnessed against us, and to pray that they would see how God loves the gift of every human life.”
Here’s the thing. They broke the law. I get it. They bravely stood up for life and are facing their consequences. I get that. But I’m just tired of the unequal application of prosecution.
Remember, it’s not actually what you do but it’s all about what side you’re on.
Think about how many “protesters” have blocked traffic. What happens to them? They’re released the same day is most cities. These are streets that people use to get to work, to get to school, to get to their doctor’s appointments, dialysis, or to check in on the elderly.
Butt blocking that isn’t a big deal if you’re doing it for climate change or racial justice or something else approved of by the State.
But if you even consider standing near an abortion clinic door, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law…and then some.
