I love how the situation in DC is being framed by political journalists.
When Republicans do not vote as a block they are in chaos. When Democrats don’t vote as a block they are fractious.
Those causing the “chaos” in the Republican Party are referred to as “Extreme MAGA” or even more absurdly “fascists” (an absurd analog) and/or “threats to democracy.” However, when they refer to groups on the left wing of the Democrat Party they are called a “squad” of conscientious leaders.
I’m not looking for accuracy from the media. I’m just asking that normal sane people not get carried away by politicians acting politically.
To be honest, I’m a bit over the hyperbolic descriptions of the McCarthy ouster. Nothing good was coming out of DC before. Nothing. Will this change that? Probably not. Swamps exhume noxious odors. This is likely more of the same.
How long are we supposed to continue spending our grandchildren’s money? How many billions are enough support of the Ukraine? Shouldn’t these things at least be discussed? Debated?
We are told “no” far too often. Will this ouster change that? Like I said, probably not but it will make others think twice before tossing billions of taxpayer dollars away. Maybe some good can come from this. Maybe.
