These terrorists are likely using the arms we were forced to leave behind in Afghanistan and now we’re supposed to do the same thing in Iran? These people just don’t learn.
As the son of an 18 year old boy I just have zero trust in our leaders. For some reason, there is an element in our government that want perpetual war.

The really cynical part of me thinks that they actually have learned. The more we use weapons and send them to various places, the more weapons need to be replaced. If they get, *ahem*, “lost” and repurposed to start up other conflicts, we then by-golly we’ll need more weapons to send to whoever we decide to side with this time. Might think of the Afghanistan debacle as a loss-leader.
The MIC is a never-satiated beast.

We seem to be experiencing one of those periods in history when powerful people with powerful propaganda capabilities are once again manipulating public emotions for their own interests.
Horrible things are happening in the world. The most recent and emotionally charged is the barbaric attacks in Israel. Anger is a dangerous emotion even when it’s just. There are many selfish interests exploiting that anger as a means to further a tyrannical agenda.
It’s very easy to forget past lessons and fall for yet another ‘just’ war. We are still experiencing the cultural destruction from WWI brought about by the great-grandfathers of today’s oligarchs. Allowing our current crop of corrupt degenerate crime families to consolidate power through another world war should just about finish off Western Civilization.
Yet…There is cause for great hope. Those of us who’ve read the book know how this ends.

both parties want perpetual war. Republicans seek an external enemy. Democrats want an internal enemy. Either way, between these two parties, we will know know peace inside our outside our nation.
