Ok, I admit it. I have been a little slow to pick up on the whole Twitter thing. After hearing so much about it, we here at CMR have decided to join revolution in 140 characters or less.
You can follow us on twitter with pithy comments and links to posts, always stay up to date with CMR.

About time, I have been on Twitter for a year and a half.
By the way sign up on tweetcatholics.com which shows a list of all the Catholics on Twitter including prominent like Patrick Madrid.

Oh and don’t make the mistake of just posting links to blog posts. People that subscribe to your Twitter feed already subscribe to your blog for the most part. Though highlighting certain posts is fine.
Join in the conversations in the Catholic community where some funny and serious stuff goes on.

I still can’t figure Twitter out or the purpose of it. It’s maddening. If someone could explain this to me, I’d be forever grateful….

I’m with you on this. I’m pretty sure that I understand what Twitter does, but the “purpose” part, as you put it, eludes me as well. It seems like essentially a blog where every post must be no longer than one brief sentence. How is that not immensely inferior to a regular blog? (A person could post very short posts on a regular blog too.)
It reminds me of the concept of “daytime running lights” that were introduced on many car models back in the 1990s. At the time, I couldn’t figure out how this could be advertised as a desirable feature, that is a supposed improvement over cars without daytime running lights. Basically it just means that they have removed the ability to turn off the headlights!
I guess sometimes less is more? I just don’t see it though. 🙂
