Reason #1,878,909 that the mainstream media is dying. They’re committing slow motion suicide by their willful ignorance and strong defense of the Obama administration.
Watch the whole thing. It’s worth it. And if you’re way too ADD to watch the whole thing at least watch it until Stephy (George Stephanopolous) pretends that Obama’s Safe School Czar hanging out with some dude from NAMBLA is no big deal.
Could you imagine if a Bush nominee was hanging with some member of the KKK. I’m sure the media would ignore that as well.

I get the feeling that Stephanopoulos is saying, "That's my story and I am sticking to it" no matter what evidence to the contrary Hannity provides. That is not journalism. That is propaganda production.

"You have to put a person's career in context…you have to look at his whole career.."
I know I'm not comparing the same thing here, but are Catholic priests given the same benefit?
I don't think I've ever heard George (not that I watch him much, mind you) stumble so much….and I'm only halfway thru at this point.

Mark Shea hit it: "the Church will one day be condemned for forbidding what some of her neglectful and corrupt ministers are presently condemned for having allowed."

great line.

I think that (although I'm not all the way through, but if the thought had occurred to Hannity, surely he would have said it) it doesn't matter if the boy in question was 15 or 16, Jennings clearly thought he was 15.

Even if the boy was 16, this is just terrible!

Don't get me wrong I agree with that, I'm sure there's some dividing line that made that relevant to the discussion (perhaps the demarcation point for statutory rape?).
Regardless, most kids who go to a "trusted" adult with this sort of thing are crying out for help, help which he clearly did not receive. If it were my child, I'd want the adult in question to anything but condone it.

Stepanopolous does provide evidence of his own.
So does the "left wing website".

Is it possible to ask tough questions? Yes, it's possible and necessary. It's also possible and necessary to examine ALL of the facts presented, even if the "left-wing website" presents facts.

A 16 year-old kid has a conversation with Jennings about meeting someone who was gay while riding a bus home.
The kid had no sexual contact with anyone, though he was legally entitled to do so, and yet "Brewster" was somehow sexually abused and Jennings covered this non-event up by not talking about it!
Shocking!!!

Jennings said repeatedly that the 15 yr old had sexual contact with the adult. No getting around that.
Craig, you are either ignorant or lying.

Arthur,
Brewster himself tells what happened:
"Since I was of legal consent at the time, the fifteen-minute conversation I had with Mr. Jennings twenty-one years ago is of nobody’s concern but his and mine. However, since the Republican noise machine is so concerned about my “well-being” and that of America’s students, they’ll be relieved to know that I was not “inducted” into homosexuality, assaulted, raped, or sold into sexual slavery.
In 1988, I had taken a bus home for the weekend, and on the return trip met someone who was also gay. The next day, I had a conversation with Mr. Jennings about it. I had no sexual contact with anybody at the time, though I was entirely legally free to do so. I was a sixteen year-old going through something most of us have experienced: adolescence. I find it regrettable that the people who have the compassion and integrity to protect our nation’s students are themselves in need of protection from homophobic smear attacks. Were it not for Mr. Jennings’ courage and concern for my well-being at that time in my life, I doubt I’d be the proud gay man that I am today.
– Brewster"

Here's Senator Herb Kohls' lame-o email response to my asking him to address the Jennings situation:
"Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about Assistant Deputy Secretary for Safe and Drug-Free Schools Kevin Jennings. I appreciate that you have taken the time to contact me. The Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC) program is a federal government initiative that works to prevent drug use and violence in and around schools. This important program is used in most of the school districts in the United States and 37 million young people in America benefit from this program every year. As you may know, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan appointed Assistant Deputy Secretary Jennings in July 2009 to advise him on the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities program. The Assistant Deputy Secretary advises the Secretary of Education on policies that work to rid our schools of physical and emotional abuse, as well as drug use. Assistant Deputy Secretary Jennings has years of experience in many roles, including as a teacher and civil rights leader that uniquely qualify him for the position. Again, thank you for contacting me and sharing your concerns. I value your thoughts and I will be sure to keep them in mind in the future. Sincerely, Herb Kohl, United States Senator"
