I don’t know if the push to defund Planned Parenthood is a reality in the next Congress. I know Michelle Bachmann and a few others have talked about it but it’s one of those things that I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m hoping and praying for it as well.

But the Democrats seem to at least have some fear that the spigot may be tightened because deep in the bowels on the omnibus bill is a p[retty nice Christmas bonus for the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

$327 million is allocated for the Title X Family Planning Program which provides funding to groups like Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the nation. This is a $10 million increase over last year (FY10 level was $317 million) and a $44 million increase over the last four years (FY07 level was $283 million). (page 979)
