Attention rank and file Republicans in the House. Your leadership has lied to you and lied to us. First they promised to cut $100bn, then $61bn, then cut a deal at$38bn only to have us find out that it was really only $15bn but only really cuts $352 million which, coincidentally enough, is almost exactly how much federal funding goes to Planned Parenthood.
So rank and file Republicans in the House, we have established that your leadership are liars of the worst sort. They have cut a deal that in all its essentials is a LIE. Believe it or not, you do not need to go along with it. If you do, you are liars too.
So, last chance. Show some backbone and reject the lie of a budget deal. Yes, the public will blame you for a time if the gov’t shuts down. So what? It is the right thing to do. Grow a pair.
NRO is reporting the the GOP leadership is still lobbying for votes. I don’t really believe. Ya know why? Because the Republican leadership are proven liars. But, for the sake of argument, let’s assume the Republican die is not already cast in the kiln of cowardice. Let’s assume that there are still Republicans actually interested in doing the right thing. This would be your last chance.
You can still do the right thing. Don’t worry about your leadership in Congress, worry about your leadership in the country. Yeah, us. Do the right thing or we comin’ to getcha.
Ok, fantasy time is over. Republicans will vote for this lie because they are cowardly liars. That is what cowardly liars do. But on the remote chance that I am just a little too cynical, know this.
This is your last chance to do the right thing. If you don’t do this, if you don’t fight on this then you will lose every battle in the future too. The debt limit? You will lose. The Ryan plan? You will lose. Cowards cannot not come out on top in a negotiation. So this is it. Pick this fight or there won’t be any other fights to pick.
Do it. Do it now.

Earlier, this site gave them a last chance prior to them caving on P.P. (of course they never intended to defund P.P.. anyways, but that is beside the point) and now you are, again, giving them one last chance.
Talk about fuzzy math 🙂
How many "last chances" do they get before y'all get it?
Stop letting them play you like chumps. Stand-up, be a man, and tell them to cram it.

I wonder, if we can't give our votes to the Democrats because of their stance, and we can't give our votes to the Republicans because they are cowards, to whom do we give our vote? The orthodox Catholic population in the US is small enough and dispersed enough to the point that we have barely any pull whatsoever.

Dear anonymous. I vote a nearly straight Mickey-Ticket. I write-in:
Mickey Mantle
Mickey Finn
Mickey Mouse
Mickey Rourke
Mickey Mickey Mickey
and ,Alvey Moore, The Guy who played the County Extension Agent, Hank Kimball, on "Green Acres."

Anony, so what? One of the current American lies is that everyone needs to have "their moment." You think orthodox Catholics in China have it easy? Or France? Or do you believe the lies that there are no Catholics in China and France is "very Catholic."
Christ didn't come to the world to give us a winning soccer team or a winning country. We should fight for sanity as much as we can, but not expect to win in a world of sinners. And we shouldn't confuse fighting with being children throwing away our votes in pointless hissy fits (Sorry Not Spartacus).
We're all taxed a hundred percent and America becomes a socialist nightmare. What do we do? Accept the Eucharist and live another day with Faith, Hope, and Charity. And above all, don't sell your soul to the government because you're afraid to die, only want to watch tv, or simply refuse to stand up and be a man.

Dear William. Consider what happened in Russia when men stopped voting there. The Govt was revealed to be bankrupt in many different ways and it collapsed.
Be of good cheer. Russia, as foretold by Our Lady of Fatima, spread her errors here – Usury, Atheism, Hatred of the sacred, abortion, militarism, homosexualism, feminism, etc – and we are on the same path as Russia.
But, keep voting. It really does make a difference and pay no attention to those of us who mock the evil that is our govt. We are all just a bunch of girls pitching hissy fits – you know, like the early Christian men who thought politics was so worth their wh…no, wait…never mind

Dear William. This is what the govt you are voting for does:
"As millions of Americans brace themselves to pay taxes on April 15th, millions of illegal aliens get ready to celebrate a cash windfall of up to $5,750 from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Why is this? Ed Rubenstein, president of ESR Research and a former director of research at the Hudson Institute, explains in his recently updated report entitled Defrauding the American Taxpayer – The Earned Income Tax Credit and Illegal Immigration, that illegal aliens are among the chief beneficiaries of the $62.5 billion income transfer scheme known as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
In the report Rubenstein reveals that the IRS knowingly allows illegal aliens to defraud taxpayers by getting cash EITC payments of up to $5,750 for a family of five. The IRS also refuses to implement recommendations from its own Inspector General’s office that could stop massive EITC fraud that costs taxpayers as much as $13 billion a year.
Rubenstein also shows how Congress has changed a federal kick-back program intended to supplement the earnings of low income workers, into one that subsidizes parenthood and disproportionately benefits immigrant families as opposed to those of native workers.
Copies of this explosive seven-part report, Defrauding the American Taxpayer-The Earned Income Tax Credit and Illegal Immigration, are available at our website: http://www.thesocialcontract.com (see below). The Social Contract is a quarterly journal published by US Inc., a Michigan non-profit organization. For more information, Contact the Social Contract."

We are a nation of immigrants. I am glad that the government at least in this case (EITC) is supporting parenthood.

I share your hope that there are still statesmen out there who have not morphed into professional politicians and become morally compromised. The thing is, people are more aware and involved into how this country is governed so elections still matter – contrary to what the wicked witch of the West says. So, ditto to what Mr. Archibold wrote. We are watching you like hawks. Please do not betray us. And do not fall for lies. I remember the joke about this guy claiming to be a Leprechaun in the restroom and another who believed him. Don't believe in Leprechauns is the punch line. (You can find the narrative elsewhere. It is a tad risque for CMR.)

We are not a nation of immigrants. I was born here; my Father was born here; his father was born here – shall I go on?
I am thinking of robbing you and selling your possessions and using that money to support my own self. I am a parent and so I know you will be ok with my actions.
Where do you live?

Looks like another CR coming down the pike -until Sept. 2011. Selling out in phases – what a *king concept.

FWIW, Americans For Tax Reform completely disagrees that this is a sell-out, and explains why.
http://www.atr.org/apples-oranges-clarifying-cuts-cr-a6054#
"While some have gone so far as to call the budget deal a “fake,” the only discrepancies manifest in the attempt by some to move the goal posts in the middle of the game.
First, the nit-picking on numbers is a result of conflation between how the government budgets and how it spends money. The entire FY 2011 budget discussion has revolved around the government’s Budget Authority (BA), the permission given to government to spend money. Thus, the House-passed H.R.1 cut $61 billion in BA for the fiscal year, while H.R. 1473 cuts almost $40 billion.
Some are arguing now that because these cuts are not reflected in outlays, or the money that actually goes out the door, they are not “real.” This is not only disingenuous, it is totally ignorant of the way the federal government budgets.
What’s more, it is an entirely nonsensical conservative position to argue that rescinding permission to spend money does not equate to spending cuts. To reform the federal budget process, small government advocates need to address the way government spends money – as the process is driven by BA, and not outlays, it is unhelpful to discuss budget-cutting in terms of outlays. It is especially malevolent to do so now in the eleventh hour of the budget fight that has revolved entirely around a discussion of BA for FY 2011.
….
In short, the most recent attacks on H.R. 1473 are amateur agitations."

"In short, the most recent attacks on H.R. 1473 are amateur agitations."
The professionals publicly promised $100 Billion in Budget Cuts – as a start. I know. I have seen the video tape of the orange-colored guy promising that.
And now that the Professionals are revealed as pubic liars (no shock, they are politicians) you choose to cite the authority of a group nine amateurs know about as a way to criticise the amateurs, from whom the professionals get all of their tax revenues from.
IOW, you are blaming the victims and not the political perps but such liberal tactics as blaming the4 victims have been adopted by the true-believers in the Stupid Party which is on the very same path as the Evil Party which is just further down the same road to contumacious collectivism
April 15, 2011 at 3:55 pm
Close to giving up on the Republican Party. No body with uh–backbone, shall we say. Every one has caved and I am sick of their shallow, EMPTY promises to do something. Whimps!!
