See my latest piece at the Register in which I highlight the amazing consistency of the government when it comes to health risks.

Terribly disturbing pics…but impeccable reasoning. One wonders which terrifies Left-wing statists more.

Too true and it all promps a simple question.
Since it is manifestly obvious that the government supports schemes that kill and maim it's own population. Why on earth would it be so worried about the side affects of smoking? What's the deal? Is smoking really good for you in some way? 25% of the population smoke. I'm still waiting to be introduced to a lung cancer victim of smoking. How come neither I nor nobody I know has known of anyone who has died from smoking related lung cancer? I've even checked my elderly relatives if they new of anyone. Nope not one.

Ma Tucker,
I've known several people who died from lung cancer. Great aunts, great uncles, neighbors, and friends. My uncle had throat cancer from smoking, but luckily he beat it, although he can't speak all that well.
Also, smoking causes those of us with asthma and allergies to be unable to breathe when people smoke around us.
I like that they are putting these photos on cigarette packs. Although I do agree, it is hypocritical of the government to allow these, but not allow photos of the aborted or ultrasounds of the unborn. If they can allow one, they need to allow the other.
