This is a pretty clever ad from Santorum in that it’s amusing but also gets the point across that this guy is the real deal on family values.

Ahh— but does he have fiscal responsibility? When you price it out, the clunky, ugly old 15 passenger van is much more cost-efficient than taking two minivans! And less grueling for the drivers.
I'm sorry– after seeing this wastefulness, I could never support Santorum. He's clearly a poser.

hahahahahahahahhahahahahhahaha! Can't breathe.
However…Deirdre raises a point. With 7 divided between two cars both designed to fit 7, you only need have 3 or 4 to a car, that allows for relative space inbetween potential combatants. Congress is packed tighter. Still, it's a start.

Aw, that was cute!

Beautiful and funny.
He also showed seriousness with simplicity during the debate when showed that Bachmann was out of her mind being against the increase of the debt ceiling altogether. Besides that he showed that the journalists should pay attention to him.
Santorum 2012.

This dude rocks my world!
Santorum 2012!
BTW – has anybody else noticed how his name resembles Sanctorum? Hmmm? Mere coincidence? I think not!

Come on guys, you can't fit seven in a seven passenger van AND have room for stuffed animals, luggage, games ect.
It makes perfect sense.

They actually have 9 people in their family. It says 7 children. That means they couldn't fit their entire family in my 8 passenger Sienna minivan. Yes, they could have used one of those really large vans, but maybe Rick needs the freedom to get to events while the rest of the family is doing vacation-y things in the area. Give them a break!

Honestly, my biggest concern with Santorum is that he seems too willing to compromise in bi=partisan settings. I mean, sure, that "Specter, not Toomey!" thing was a long time ago now, but I don't think he's tough enough to hold the line as President. I think we'd end up with more Big government compromises ala GWB. I can't see him really using the Veto often enough….

Seriously… Whoever wins the GOP nomination ought to take notice of this ad and the ultimate Obama-beating question it contains and use it in every single speech.
"Obama! Are we there yet?!"

This hit home to me because we just finished a week of driving from Maine to Virginia and back (we had to supervise the packing our stuff to move up north for good) with 6 kids in the car (full size van). When we arrived yesterday I jumped out of the car and ran away from my kids.

He's probably got campaign people in the minivans, too, making it impossible to fit everyone inside one van. I like him.
