Of all the SCOTUS audio I listened to today, I think this is my favorite bit. In it, Justice Scalia lectures the Solicitor General on the where the government gets its limited powers. Excellent.

say goodbye to social security, Medicare, and obamacare. Let the old folks stop suckling on uncle Sam's teet too. That will be great for us/US.

Limited powers of government is the foundation of our Federal government. What that has to do with any candidate's platform is not especially relevant here, Anonymous.

The Tenth Amendment, limited powers of government, is Patrick Archbold's platform and Patrick Archbold is for Rick Santorum

Rover,
If there were an eqivalent giveback of taxes to the people, we could do what we must do with our own money. Thank you very much.

I kinda like how the SG's voice rises in the last minute or so. He clearly is frustrated that Scalia is shooting holes in his arguments. When you say, "with all due respect" to someone like Scalia, you usually mean no respect is due. For Verrelli to fall to such a condescending tone certainly will not help his case with the other justices. Nor will Verrelli's preemptive hit piece he put out just last week.

Judge Scalia knows the Law – the natural and unbreachable limits of states and their laws. I greatly admire his work.
