Not many American colleges can boast being founded by a saint. That’s why it’s so disturbing to see that in the month leading up to the presidential election, Xavier University in Louisiana has decided to feature President Barack Obama on its homepage, commemorating the president’s visit to the campus in 2010.
A much smaller picture commemorating Pope John Paul II’s 1987 visit to the university is fitted on the right.
Check it out. This says it all, doesn’t it?

Let's be fair, Matthew. Being a Catholic college, they're probably more likely to know who Obama is than Pope John Whatsisname.

Another Xavier University, the one in Ohio, has already capitulated
on the HHS mandate. What is with the Jesuits in this country?

There's Xavier (OH) and there's Xavier in Louisiana. The latter being founded by St. Katherine Drexel and her order for the education of African Americans. They handed off control to laity in 1970 –so in the world of psuedo-Catholic Universities, its definitely on the fringe.
