I see a lot of blogs and talking heads going after President Obama and saying that they can’t wait until he gets out of office. But the thing about the Democrat party is that it doesn’t matter who leads it. It’s like the Borg. They’re all assimilated. It truly is the party of death.
The HuffPo is celebrating because a bunch of Democrats from the House and Senate announced that they’re getting pretty darn sick and tired of people voting for restricting abortions in any way. To ensure that no pesky state legislatures or people vote for any abortion restrictions, they’re introducing a bill to make it illegal to do so.
Following an unprecedented three-year wave of state legislative attacks on abortion and family planning services, a group of Democratic lawmakers in the House and Senate plan to go on the offensive Wednesday with a historic bill that would make it illegal for states to chip away at women’s reproductive rights.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) will introduce the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2013, joined by Sens. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) and Reps. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), Judy Chu (D-Calif.) and Lois Frankel (D-Fla.). The bill would prohibit states from passing so-called Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws, which impose strict and cost-prohibitive building standards on abortion clinics, require women seeking abortions to have ultrasounds, and create other barriers to abortion access.
This bill would just make you have to believe what they believe. It’s called being assimilated. Welcome to the Borg.

Of course I expected to see the homosexually-disturbed Tammy Baldwin on that list.
But regardless: if such a thing does come up for a vote you can be fairly certain the cowardly Republicans will cave-in. And should it pass and be legally challenged you can be further certain that such Republican-backed justices like the execrable John Roberts will go along with it.

I don't think it would pass the house. It's disturbing, to be sure, and things are bad, but not yet that bad. These restrictions are passing throughout the country because they're popular. I don't see what house Republicans (especially the Tea Party cadre) would stand to gain from caving on something like.
