I’m not saying that anti-Catholicism is the last acceptable prejudice, I’m just saying it’s the most popular and lucrative one.
The Washington Post has announced that its hired former Clinton campaign chair John Podesta to their op-ed page. Now, considering what we’ve learned of Podesta, this is pretty outrageous.
WikiLeaks revealed emails from Podesta admitting to creating and funding a campaign to promote at least discord and perhaps even a revolution in the Catholic Church.
I know the media didn’t cover it as such but it was pretty big news in Catholic circles when we learned that Podesta wrote:
We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up. I’ll discuss with Tara. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend is the other person to consult.
Oddly enough, the Washington Post at the time tried to pass that conversation off a just “joking” around. Ha. That’s what I do all the time as a joke. I create organizations to foment discord in religions I don’t know a darn thing about. I’m quite the jokester, huh?
