They love you when they get something out of you.
This is the greatest lesson in the world. The world does not love you. It wants what it can get from you. As long as you give it what it wants you will be cheered. But remember, it’s not you they’re cheering. It’s what they get from you. The moment that ceases, they will turn on you or forget you.
Then the devil took him up to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their magnificence, and he said to him, “All these I shall give to you, if you will prostrate yourself and worship me.”*
At this, Jesus said to him, “Get away, Satan! It is written: ‘The Lord, your God, shall you worship and him alone shall you serve.’” Then the devil left him and, behold, angels came and ministered to him.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg could not have been more celebrated and adored. She was lionized in the media. Graffiti extolled her awesomeness. Movies were made about her.
But now? She is scorned by many of the same people.
The day that the US Supreme Court allowed the Texas Abortion ban to go into effect, the same people who extolled the Notorious RBG now showed their vitriol towards her.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s categorical refusal to retire brought us here. So thanks you old dead white bitch.

I've said this before but these days, Ruth Bader Ginsburg's biggest legacy as a Justice (though not as an attorney) is Amy Coney Barrett. https://t.co/qE9loZLFot

Please recall that at the news of her death, this is one of the most widely viewed freakouts. (Language and insanity warning.)
Notice how she’s not sad at RBG’s passing. She’s pissed. She’s mad at RBG. “Ruth!! You just had to make it to 2021!!!”
Don’t seek your treasure in this world because you will get it. But it is a meager treasure when compared to what God offers.
