OK, I’ll bite. I’m not sure I am reading the blurry sign correctly, but it seems to say, “Auburn Prefers the New Man.”
I’m not sure that’s an insult because I don’t know what that means. Most likely it is a reference to Auburn’s new head coach. The game was at Penn State, which is maybe a clue that it was supposed to be an insult. Maybe you think “the New Man” is not a man at all, but a woman pretending to be a man?
Nor am I sure how this is Catholic. It’s not a reference to John Henry Newman or St. John Neumann. I have heard Fundamentalists and Evangelicals make a big deal of the “new man” referenced in Ephesians 4:24, but Catholics don’t usually use that image.
Maybe. This is something of a Rorschach test. The humor comes largely from the fact that you don’t see signs sniping at liturgical options that at football games between secular state universities. That is also a reason to doubt that the blurry picture is of a sign that has anything to do with the liturgy.

… meaning: what a way to insult someone!

I think it says the new Mass.

That was the first thing that came to mind when reading that sign. Yeah it’s blurry, but to me it reads “New Mass”.
All good.

It says Mass. I saw another, clearer image of it!
