The Georgia Guidestones said there were too many people.

One person said there were too many Guidestones.

The granite monoliths erected in Georgia in the 1970’s that were inscribed with cryptic messages were blown up yesterday.

The structure itself remains something of a mystery including who made it. The only thing people know is that the creator called himself RC Christian and that he was representing an anonymous group. The thing had been called “American Stonehenge” but that always seemed pretty stupid. It’s been a big tourist trap and a huge mystery but the tenets of the guidelines were essentially a ten commandments for the godless, not very Christian at all even though the Washington Post today called them “largely uncontroversial.”

They include:
Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
Be not a cancer on the Earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

The ten guiding principles were etched into the stones in eight different languages. The stones called for the world’s population to be capped at 500 million and encouraged government to “guide” reproduction to improve “fitness and diversity.” It called for the establishment of a world court and said that personal rights should be “balanced” with social duties. (So, goodbye personal rights is what I’m hearing.)

Um…what about the few billions of people? What are we supposed to do with them?

Anyway, reportedly “unknown individuals” detonated an explosive device around 4 a.m., destroying a large portion of the Georgia Guidestones. Later in the day, authorities demolished the whole monument, citing safety reasons.

Wait! Weren’t the people responsible for the explosion just returning the land to nature as the guide stones themselves commanded. “Be not a cancer on the earth…leave room for nature…leave room for nature.”

The people responsible were just taking the guide stones at face value.

On the other hand, taking down monuments for political reasons is now bad? I’m a little confused. We’ve seen statues and monuments all over the country defaced, torn down, and vandalized and the media has done nothing but cheer it on. It’s essentially been the right to free expression.

But hold on, someone with a different perspective has done the same thing the left has been doing for years and now it’s a problem. Now, we need a national manhunt.

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
