There’s not a lot to go on but I’m hoping it’s good.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they really did something nice with it? I remember when I heard that Sylvester Stallone was making a new Rocky. That would be “Rocky Balboa.” I cringed. I said “I wish he would just stop.” But what did he do? He made a great movie. I think it was the best since Rocky 2.
Remember when you heard there was going to be a sequel series to the Karate Kid? C’mon, admit it. You thought it’d be awful, right? But it’s been very good, even bordering on great at times.
So they can do it. Will they? I don’t know. But my mind is open.
In the teaser you see the lampshade from the infamous lamp and it’s funny because the moment you see Peter Billingsley’s eyes you know exactly who it is. I’m hoping for great.

I always hated this movie. May the sequel kill it off for good. Nothing but cultural rot.

Even though I grew up not far from where the movie was filmed, I didn’t see it until just a few years ago and loved it. This past Christmas was spent in the hospital recovering from the dreaded virus and, on Christmas day, one of the channels played in non-stop for 24 hours. That was great since I was sleeping on and off. I’d wake up wondering what part of the movie I would see next. The familiarity was comforting. I’m looking forward to this new one!

The original was pure joy! Perhaps they can recapture the magic.
Faith, family, and friends are the foundation of a healthy culture.

The outlets in our house looked just like theirs. Which is how my hand slipped and grabbed the plug prongs just as they made contact and I never ever want to do that again…And my daughter licked the stairs to the slide. In the middle of a snowstorm. I love this movie ’cause I relate.
