When leftism meets reality it doesn’t end well. Either you ignore reality and bend it to fit your narrative or you grow up. In the case of NYC Mayor Eric Adams, he’s just ignoring reality completely.

You might recall this tweet from Adams when he was running for mayor. Those are some highfalutin ideals, huh?

Well, now that he’s mayor and refugees are showing up in NYC, things are a bit different, you see.

Well well well. Adams is still attempting to thread the needle here. He’s not saying NYC is no longer a sanctuary city to New Yorkers. He’s simply warning the border crossers not to come to NYC. So yes, he’s technically still in a sanctuary city that technically is no longer offering sanctuary. Hmmm…

The media will play along and not call him on this, of course. But this is what happens when leftism meets reality. You must end up distorting reality. Changing words. Denying truth so that reality fits the narrative.

Is that a baby? No. That’s a “potential human.”

Hey, what’s that dude doing in the girl’s locker room? No. No. That’s a woman with a beard, you bigot!

You see the burning building behind me? That’s a “mostly peaceful” protest.
