Anyone who does a lot of speaking will make blunders. It’s unfair to hold any speaker to the standard to which the media held Dan Quayle.
It’s the repetition that’s the problem. Someone should have pointed out the error to her afterwards, and she should have taken care not to make the same mistake again.
