Let me apologize first off because I have a post about a nativity scene on Halloween. But Berkley, Michigan residents are going to the polls next week to decide the fate of a Nativity display that was pulled down last year from its municipal setting after the ACLU threatened a lawsuit, according to campaign organizers.
This is the first time that people are getting a chance to vote on this, according to a few reports.
In announcing the 2007 Nativity Project, which encourages the display nationwide of the scene from the biblical Christmas story, Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition said religious freedoms have eroded in the United States.
“This is especially true during the Christmas season where there is an open hostility toward public expressions of faith. We must constantly remind our public officials that the Constitution promises freedom ‘of’ religion not freedom ‘from’ religion,” he said.
This issue is Michigan is worth watching. The Grinch-like ACLU has been stealing Christmas it’s about time Who-ville pushed back a little. I’ll keep you updated.

Bill,
If you wish to make a point, why can you not make it thoughtfully and politely. Perhaps then someone might listen to you. The angry and rude atheist bit has been done. Why don’t you try polite and thoughtful atheist? If you can’t find it within yourself to be polite, please refrain from commenting here. Your ideas can be be put on public view on your own private property (blog) unless you find this to be intolerably oppressive.
