KBTX is reporting an amazing story that an executive director at a local Planned Parenthood has resigned after viewing an ultrasound of an abortion procedure.
Abby Johnson had worked at PP for about eight years.
“I just thought I can’t do this anymore, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that’s it,” said Johnson.
She handed in her resignation October 6. Johnson worked as the Bryan Planned Parenthood Director for two years.
According to Johnson, the non-profit was struggling under the weight of a tough economy, and changing it’s business model from one that pushed prevention, to one that focused on abortion.
“It seemed like maybe that’s not what a lot of people were believing any more because that’s not where the money was. The money wasn’t in family planning, the money wasn’t in prevention, the money was in abortion and so I had a problem with that,” said Johnson.
Johnson said she was told to bring in more women who wanted abortions, something the Episcopalian church goer recently became convicted about.
“I feel so pure in heart (since leaving). I don’t have this guilt, I don’t have this burden on me anymore that’s how I know this conversion was a spiritual conversion.”
Amazing. Johnson now joins the Coalition for Life members who pray outside the building.
So Planned Parenthood is telling local directors to ditch family planning and concentrate on abortions. But remember, they’re not pro-abortion. Nobody’s pro-abortion, right?
Also remember all that taxpayer money that’s going towards Planned Parenthood for “family planning services” but supposedly not for abortion, well what do they say now that a PP director is saying that PP is downplaying family planning and pushing abortions?
Now one interesting note to watch is that Planned Parenthood had issued a temporary restraining order on Johnson which I’m unsure what that’s about.
Rochelle Tafolla, a Planned Parenthood spokesperson issued the following statement: “We regret being forced to turn to the courts to protect the safety and confidentiality of our clients and staff, however, in this instance it is absolutely necessary.”
Could it be that perhaps Johnson knows something that Planned Parenthood doesn’t want out?
According to the news, the order contends that Planned Parenthood “would be irreparably harmed by the disclosure of certain information.”

This is a cool story. The restraining order gives it an interesting twist. Maybe it's time for Lila Rose to pay a visit…

I thought everyone that worked at PP was a fully indoctrinated member of the hedonistic "culture of death". It seems that they are just average human beings that sometimes get burnt out by the emotional toll their work takes on them.
Hoodathunk it.

"Johnson said she was told to bring in more women who wanted abortions, something the Episcopalian church goer recently became convicted about."
Wonderful story. I never thought I'd be advocating for Anglicans to ordain more women bishops but give her a mitre and there might be hope for that communion as well.

Wow. Awesome.

Bonus: the restraining order was issued on the basis that PP might be damaged by something the lady said– and neither the lady nor the pro-life group she's praying with these days has actually seen the complaint that got the order installed.
I think the PP spokesman just threw in the "safety" thing because they figured they could get away with it, and every bit of mud helps, no?

I can't help but think this is one of the fruits of the national 40 Days for Life campaign. Praise be to God! And blessings upon Abby Johnson for her courage. It must be so wonderful to have this newfound freedom from the culture of death. Thank you CMR for reporting this good news. I will be sure to spread it! ~shalimamma from LifeVictorious.com

I agree with Foxfier…nothing like a restraining order to make someone look like a dangerous wacko, right? Just like all of those other "dangerous" people praying outside the clinic.
So PP would be irreparably harmed by the disclosure of certain information, huh? Such as, perhaps, that they admit they are in the killing business for the money?
I think that ship has sailed already, thanks to Abby Johnson. God bless her.

To Craig the Trollfish: There were nazis who had second thoughts but that doesn't mean that the nazis were a bunch of normal nice people prone to "emotional burnout."

Craig,
Yes, apparently the "work" takes an emotional toll on PP employees.
Why is that, exactly? Isn't it just a "women's health" procedure, a "bunch of cells," etc.?
If some of these employees experience emotional burnout, maybe it MIGHT have a little something to do with what actually occurs during the procedure they are aiding and abetting.
I would imagine that having blood on your hands, literally and figuratively, could lead to "emotional burnout."

Kudos to this local news channel for covering the story in such a positive way!

I thought everyone that worked at PP was a fully indoctrinated member of the hedonistic "culture of death".
Of course they are all fully indoctrinated. But, they are also humans made in the image of God (as all of us would acknowledge), which means the indoctrination isn't always going to stick, especially in the teeth of the reality of what they are doing. Wow. A piece of genuine good news and we get the back of your hand. Classy.

Many people supporting PP are convinced that contraception is a commensensical-conclusion to women who do not want to be pregnant. Many don't like abortion but think it is justified in terms of "what women need." They see no connection between the 2, and they see abortion as a necessary evil, not a good to be embraced. That is how they can continue with what they do. They do not see the cost to women, society, and even theirselves.
The fact that they are wrong does not make them "indoctrinated in the hedonistic culture of death." It makes them… wrong. Wrong thinking leads to wrong behavior.
Until something like an ultrasound forces them to come face-to-face with the result of their wrong thinking….
Thank God.

Have you watched the film: Maafa21? It is a stunning hiostory of Planned Parenthood and the foundations in racism and eugenics. See a preview here: http://www.maafa21.com

A special thanks to Abby Johnson, the ex-director of the Bryan Texas Planned Parenthood office on 29th Street:
Abby Johnson now encourages thinking and loving individuals to place a special value on others who are (also humans made in the image of God) and in the same stage of development that "They were"!
The thoughts that dance in the mind of humans, is conceived in their heart and hinges on the pivotal question that ushers in the undeserved "Death penalty" for the unborn; or the joyous excitement, anticipating the soon coming birth of a child.
The question that answers the complex motive for a person's actions after conception is "Is the pregnancy and baby wanted or rejected by one or both parents (or families) of the child"?!!!
And if most women-with-child was loved by the child's father,
she would smile and happily say "No abortion" why bother.
Ask God and the person you mated with to forgive you,
forgive yourself and live the abundant life.
