Democrats and their p.r. arm, the mainstream media, are screaming about how the violent political rhetoric from the right is “aiding and abetting” violence. Nancy Pelosi even said “I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw, I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was, is very frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place.”
So here’s my speech:
Conservatives have been dealt a harsh defeat. We must reload. Battle back. Fight on. And if our aim is true we have a good shot at taking back the reins of government come November.
As conservatives we must tighten the noose around unruly government and cut out of control spending.
We must aim true at those targeted districts, shoot straight, and keep gunning for them for them until they fall.
As this monstrous healthcare bill destroys our healthcare system, we must kill the bill or at least choke off the funds, and make sure this healthcare bill blows up in their face. We must make sure this bill is their Waterloo after all.
We must put a stranglehold on bureaucracies before they detonate the dreams of millions, crippling the generations to come with debt.
We must bombard the airwaves with our message, hammer away at their assumptions. So much hangs in the balance. Stand strong conservatives and be sure to storm the voting booths in November. Thank you.

St. Catherine of Siena:
"We've had enough of exhortations to be silent! Cry out with a hundred thousand tongues. I see that the world is rotten because of silence."
Catherine probably said it better than you did, Matt…no offense.

That is a great quote, Anony. I'm going to remember that.
It really hits close to home.
I mean
was dead on
I mean
grabs you by the heart strings.
There we go, I think that last one only kinda implies violence. Finally nailed it!
(Joking aside, seriously good quote)

…the current violence is targetting BOTH sides. ~ Early Riser
There is NO volence so far and there won't be any. The coffin story is a twisting of facts so egregious that only a sycophant press could give this story the cred it initially got. The coffin was part of a demonstration, and it was taken by the demonstrators when they left. They've made this statement to clarify but no press outlet carried it. No surprise, there.
Same with the "spitting" accusation, although how that constitutes true violence is beyond me. Guess you have to be a lefty to grasp that one. Turns out it was more likely to be a case of "say it, don't spray it."
Also, the accusation of a dozen or so racial epithets allegedly hurled at a black congressman has failed the test as well. A bounty of $10K has been publicly posted for anyone who can produce video (cell phone footage qualifies) of such a thing. Not one taker.
The truth is, none of these stories pan out. There is no "there" there. Claims of this sort abound from the left over time. It is sooo easy to fabricate such stories exactly when you need them. Great timing. I wonder how that happened. 🙂
This should be no surprise, though, since we've seen it before. Some years back a major Democratic election cycle "talking point" was that if Republicans were elected to Congress churches would burn down. The mainstram media and pounded away with that lie during most of the election cycle. Of course, it didn't happen at all.
A mind which conceives of such fantasies as a cynical political weapon in the past can also be counted upon to apply the same tactics when there is a need to dmeonize those who stand against socialism.
I'm talking 1992 riots volatile. ~ Early Riser
I have to agree with romishgraffiti and I'll go further. When anyone makes such absurd remarks (I'm talking to YOU, Early Riser, and your lefty friends) you not only look ridiculous but you contribute to what could be the very result you ostensibly abhor. While there is no evidence (overt or subtle) that we are in such an environment yet, such baseless claims have been known combine with specific local situations and morph into a confluence of events that are regrettable later. You may have read the term "self-fulfilling prophecy."
As for "funny', well, it's not a side-splitter but it certainly is effective sarcasm to make a larger point. Matthew has nothing to be ashamed of, and he did a good job at highlighting the problems in the socialist left narrative that's being hawked like bad medicine at a circus of fools.

Bleus you are as clueless as you are moronic. There HAS been violence, if you count some idiot firing a gunshot into the office of REPUBLICAN Eric Cantor. If you don't think firing a gun into the office window of an elected official constitutes violence, then you are simply…well…we've already established that.
Second, I don't have "left friend" (although I do have several in my family, unfortunately). Eric Cantor called for everyone to tone it down and not fan the flames. So you can take and fling your "lefty" crap back at yourself like your like-minded intellectual equals do at the city zoo.

The super serious comments make me laugh.

it's all about positioning.
In the workplace this occurs, where one has to delicately position themselves should conflict occur, appearing as the victim, non-instigator.
In the current Islamo-nuclear awakening, the West needs to understand that it isn't a matter of whether the nukes will be sent, but rather how the West appears in the aftermath.
And so with politics, the battle of ideas is not about actually doing anything, but shifting each side to better position.

I actually thought it a well written piece of satire. Some people just have no sense of humor. Most leftists/progressives are like that.
