Maybe in architecture. In legal writing, I have often heard "less is more", often in the metaphor of a bikini – enough to cover the important parts, but short enough to be interesting. Of course, that all depends upon the body of your argument – if it is not a pretty argument, perhaps a little more coverage is in order.

Which is why lawyers aren't known for designing beautiful buildings. They are better known, naturally, for bikini metaphors.
