The guy was preaching about fifty feet away from a DMV that people were standing outside waiting for it to open. The charges were “impeding an open business.”
Two things:
1) They weren’t impeding anyone. They might have been annoying some but they certainly weren’t impeding.
2) And the DMV wasn’t open yet which was why people were standing outside. How can you impede a business whose doors are locked? Duh!
So, in short, they weren’t impeding and it was a closed business. But let’s face it, they were arrested for preaching. Yeah, it’s that simple. Can it be annoying to have some dude yelling at you early in the morning? Sure. But do we live in a country now that arrests people because people find them annoying? If so, that’s pretty scary. And dangerous.
With this as precedent, anytime someone hears someone preaching and are annoyed by it, an arrest can be made.

The atheist got up one morning in ONE nation under God, took her money “IN GOD WE TRUST” and filed suit for her unalienable, CREATOR endowed rights. “You will no longer acknowledge the Person of God in my presence or in any other person’s presence. I am offended.” Guess who will have to obey the atheist and her demands?
Her son, William Murray, in whose name the lawsuit was filed, took a full page ad in the New York Times: “Yes, Mother: There is a God”.
Fallen heros, who laid down their lives to protect us, can no longer rest in peace under the sign of the Cross (sign language)or the Davidic Star. The Cross at several veterans’ memorials are under attack by the American Civil Liberties Union. The civil liberties in the name are the liberties that are being taken from us.
Now, if I said that the Lady in the Harbor is Satanic and Un-American and went to court to have the Statue of Liberty removed, the tax-payer, John and Joan Q. Public would be sent the bill for my legal fees. Every civil lawsuit is paid for out of tax-payers’ money, no matter how frivolous, no matter how unmerited.
The will of the people, and the consent of the governed are being silenced as religious speech forbidden by atheism. When religious speech is silenced so will the voices of the people be silenced, our freedoms denied, our sovereign personhood that constitutes our nation obliterated, the foundations of liberty vandalized, our constitution abrogated, America despoiled and vanquished, a "no people".

@Therese Z. Growing up, there was a man who lived in the woodshed and did odd jobs for a neighbor. At 6:30 every morning the man took a sledge hammer and pounded on the manhole cover at the intersection of our street. Only he knows why but the memory has stayed with me many years. thanks for reading.

Check out this video of April 22 last week.
Muslims having outdoor prayers in ROME.
I don't think this should be allowed. So how do we draw distinctions? Because they will be trying to do it in the USA soon.
