This is just awful and so full of lies that I’m almost stunned by it.
The gist of this is that little girls dreams will die unless you pay for their birth control.
I always get a chill of revulsion up my spine when I see an ad that touts abortion rights while playing soft music and showing slow motion video of children. Kinda’ freaks me out.
As Katie Pavlich of Townhall writes:
There are many problems with this ad.
The first: The use of contraception is not controversial, forcing others, including religious institutions morally opposed to contraception, to cover and pay for contraception, is.
The second: Contraception is readily available at an inexpensive price pretty much everywhere.
The third: Have we really gotten to the point in America where young girls can only fullfil their dreams if someone else pays for their birth control? No, not even close. In fact, Forbes just named their 100 most powerful celebrities in the world. Four out of the top five celebrities were women and seven out of the top ten were women. Taxpayers weren’t paying for their birth control through a govenment mandate along their way to the top.
The fourth: The woman narrating the ad says, “We need a president who will stand up for women’s health and stay focused on jobs and the economy.” Let me remind readers that it was President Obama who decided to make birth control a “controversial” issue and a distraction from his horrific economic record when his ally Nancy Pelosi tapped 30-year-old reproductive activist Sandra Fluke of Georgetown University to testify/complain before a congressional committee about paying $3000 a year for birth control.

Dear President Obama,

ETERNITY

If this girl has the discipline to wake up at 5 every morning, maybe she might actually have the discipline to abstain from sexual relations before marriage?
And what kind of role model is this woman being if the kids don't want to grow up to be mothers?

Wow! It now needs to be a 'right' to take a pill that is poisoning our water & destroying womens fertility. And, if you dont march in lock-step with this orthodoxy your 'dreams' will be destroyed.
What a disgusting ad.

How far many in our society have drifted from away from Common sense much less the values and morals that build and support a healthy community!
the GOD (that supposedly doesn't exist to hear some) will never take away our ability to "Free Choice". However "the god, our government" will force us to do what we KNOW and BELIEVE to be ABOSLUTELY WRONG!!!
I wonder how a mother who implies she loves her children can make an Ad like this and have a clear conscience.

So instead of teaching her girls to dream to be mothers, she letting them be "dolphin doctors"?(Newsflash: the word is veterinarian.)
In the words of Charlie Brown: AAAUUUGHHHHH!!!

Think of all the aborted baby girls who will never get the chance to dream about anything.

Wonder if she takes cough syrup everyday to prevent a cough. Women need to understand how their fertility works and how to work with it. It is unbelievable in this day of oversexed sex education that girls are not taught how their bodies work, a mission that would be a healthy option for all, including the dolphins in our water systems.

It puts a lot on the shoulders of women. Making people think that this is something we all need, when what we really need is for more people to realize the benefit of self restraint and abstinence. Easiest way to not get pregnant when you can't afford to is to not have sex. Easy as that. The fact that the church teaches abstinence is as a good reason to combat this mandate with a reminder that the morals in this country are dying out if the government thinks this mass sterilization is necessary.

Most of you miss the key issue here, which is sad, because then your arguments fall on deaf ears. Many believe that women NEED birth control for other issues other than being promiscuous. Many women allegedly need it for medical reasons. Now, if you want anyone to listen to your ranting, please address these issues, not just abortion and sex.

RE: dolphin doctors, bottlenose dolphins are sex-crazed thrill-killers. They're one of the few species where the female is a threat to the young.
Why would you want to be a doctor to Casey Anthony with sonar?

The side argument of "I need to take birth control pills but it has nothing to do with having sex" holds about as much water as "I had no idea there were drugs in this bag, Officer, I was just holding it for a friend".
Can this be true?? Yes, once in a blue moon. And guess what? If birth control pills ARE needed for other than contraceptive reasons, they are ALREADY covered by insurance. Mainly, however, this is a red herring.
And gee-whiz, this "mom" never thought for a second ,"I hope my girls are so busy with their academic careers and studies, friends and service projects, and preparing themselves for adulthood that they are too smart to risk it all by jumping into bed with some guy!!"
Or, sorry, I forgot for minute that in Obamaland everyone over the age of 12 should be able to have sex with any animal, vegetable, or mineral of their choice….it is a RIGHT! [gag]

I think we are missing the real meaning of this ad. This is a ploy to make the USA look bad in the eye's of the Nation of Islam. We will appear as decadent, lustful and sinful in their eyes. You must remember that the intent of Islam is to "destroy from within". What better way than this ad.

Abortion is a crime even when it is only through a pill taken the day after…But, abortion is also a crime against society. America is doomed if,by abortions or contraceptives, American women avoid having more than one child by family. Abortion is also a way of making black population to be a permanent minority. It is a sort of a KKK plan against the conception or birth of black babies.
Sad that so many black women are swallowing this Democratic white political pill…

Maybe Obama supporting women have to have sex to get ahead in the world therefore they need contraception so the can have more sex? I mean he is the JOBs president right????
May 25, 2012 at 9:54 pm
Aside from this being the best political football for politicians, it is not about birth control and/or abortion. It is about making you, girls and ladies, sex objects with your cooperation. Most can hear the between the lines. Why shouldn't big-pharma snd their clients tell the truth about sex and the naive single girl or is it time we do it for them?

I want to respond to Joseph's comment that women "need" contraception to treat other health issues. I was one of those women who was told that my health issues couldn't be managed in any other way than to take the pill, and so I started taking contraception at the ripe age of…15. I didn't know any better then. Now, I know about NaPro Technology (also known as FertilityCare and Creighton). It is a scientific, peer-reviewed, morally acceptable approach to women's healthcare that truly manages family planning AND serious health issues such as endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrom, irregular cycles, pms,etc and even has a higher success rate of conception than IVF for couples experiencing infertility. If you've never heard of NaPro Technology, I would encourage you to google it and learn about it. There once was a time that my health issues were being managed by supressing my (healthy) fertility and causing a host of serious sideeffects (and, my soul was in serious danger, although at the time I was so uninformed that I hadn't a clue about that…). I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, but women never need contraception because there is nothing healthy about it for women's bodies or souls.
May 28, 2012 at 10:52 pm
As an addition to all ElizabethAnne said, using contraception to treat women's health issues only treats (i.e., masks) the symptoms. It does nothing to address the root cause of the symptoms, which is the real problem or disorder. It's like taking Tylenol for a headache caused by a brain tumor. Your head feels better, but the tumor is still there–and probably getting worse! Meanwhile, the focus of NaPro is to ferret out the CAUSE of the symptoms, and treat it, improving the woman's actual health, not just her perception of it through symptoms.

Gee, Obama. How did I EVER become a veterinarian without you paying for my birth control? I must be a fluke, right?
May 31, 2012 at 2:00 am
Why women are following men's wishes on this dilema. Behind all the contraceptive issues you will find men, money, lies, and the use of women's
bodies, health, egos and naiveness. Doctors and pharmaceutical business are getting rich everyday with this issue. WOMEN you are part of the cosumerism that becomes part of the economy
in this country, and your daughters of course have to continue being consumers, it does not matter the price or the sacrifice as long you continue to maximaze riches and diminsh population. ECONOMICS GAME.

If this mom had used abortion or more birth control we wouldn't get to see these two lovely young ladies. It's a shame thier mother isn't teaching them personal responsability.
