This is so sad. I’m jealous of France whose people the French are defending marriage in a public way.
Several hundred thousand people converged at the Eiffel Tower in Paris Sunday to protest President Francois Hollande’s bill to legalize same-sex marriage by June.
Protesters waved pink and blue flags showing a father, mother and two children. Many had taken long train and bus rides from outside Paris.
What in goodness’ name is wrong with America that I’m now jealous of France? This is not the way the world should be. I’m going to go out and get a beret and eat a croissant.

You could start smoking (if you don't already) and stop showering too :). Seriously though, hearing the report of this on NPR this morning made me smile.

They're bombing the Islamists in Mali too. Vive la France!

And I could be condescending to all Americans too with all my free time not spent showering.

Matthew, it's you wearing high heels, pushing a stroller, running down a cobbled street I want to see! How do they do that?
And , good for them.

I am proud once again to have French ancestors!

They're surprised that the Socialists they elected are trying to re-define marriage! We wouldn't be so silly…oh wait.

Thought you might be interested in the piece I wrote for Catholic Exchange today about the two protests this weekend (the headline they gave me only mentions one) for traditional marriage, and what we need to learn from their different approaches and emphases: http://catholicexchange.com/165412/

Thank you St. Terese of Lisieux and St Joan of Arc. Immaculate Mary help us. Make them prove without bullying and without violating our founding principles, the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution that they have a right to abuse The Supreme Sovereign Being, the sovereign nation and the sovereign person made in the image of the Supreme Sovereign Being. Prove it or move on.
