This video sickens me. Watch this professor at a Catholic college talk about her work as an abortion doula, set aside some time to be horrified, and then check out how the president of Mount St. Vincent’s College defends her employment.

Speaking as a professor and Catholic. I would love to be at a Catholic university rather than secular institution I am at….mass everyday, surrounded by the loving embrace of Christendom in its beauty, glory and devotion. I dream of such things. It therefore pains me to see these institutions hiring anyone. Operating like a state run facility. And hiding their majesty to fit in and not offend the geniuses (heavy on the sarcasm there) who goto Catholic institutions and are offended by all the 'religious stuff'. I'm hurtin here. It's time the first question on the app asks, " are you a baptized, confirmed and active Catholic, devoted to the Magesterium of the Church?" If yes, proceed to question 2.

Proteios, I am in your same situation, and agree completely. The question I have is about how intelligent this woman can be if she is doing this as a volunteer for one of the most lucrative and well-funded industries in the country. She has clearly earned her blood money.

I think I've seen it all, now. Heaven help us!

I'm curious as to what the colleges reaction might be if a professor posted a video detailing their anti-gay or racist views. Would the college then claim that they can't force employees to hold Christian values & beliefs?
Because if they would fire or at least discipline that employee, then they certainly need to do so with this evil monster.

Pardon my gut reaction, but this woman looked liked a whore from the wrong side of town! AFAIC, she acted like one too. And those horrible tattoos! Yuck! and she's a part-time Catholic(?) college professor too! Double yuck!

Yep – She is still working at the College – Is there any reason why the Church cannot strip the word Catholic from these instiutions?

I'm sickened by this too. First of all, what kind of qualifications does she have to teach a college-level course? People are paying plenty of tuition there, I'm sure. Secondly, the fact that she dressed the way she did while gleefully describing her doula duties is very, very telling. This is a woman who needs prayer and healing. And the college must be taken to task over this.

It is really the alumni that have to get on this. If the alumni withhold donations until the college is Catholic in all respects, it will make a difference. Most donations to colleges come from alumni.

Hann also forwarded a comment from the president of the College, Charles Flynn Jr., defending Laureano’s employment. “The college is an independent institution deeply committed to its Catholic identity and mission,” he wrote in a letter to alumni. “We cannot and do not require that employees share faith in Catholic teaching, even the most fundamental Catholic teaching.”
Me: Hey George Orwell, mind explaining what the holy fudging heck I just read?
George: Sure thing! "To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget, whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again, and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself – that was the ultimate subtlety; consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed. Even to understand the word 'doublethink' involved the use of doublethink" (Orwell, George. 1949. Nineteen Eighty-Four. Martin Secker & Warburg Ltd, London, part 1, chapter 3, pp 32).

Wow! Did not watch video, picture was enough. This is not a person in tune with God. And to allow this person access to the youth is a sin.

I hope they don't pay her by the pound.
