Ha! This is hilarious. A woman who claims she’s a “superfan” of the reality show with the Duggars and their 19 children is now pushing a petition on Moveon.org to get the show kicked off the air because the family is pro-life and believes that killing the unborn by the millions is akin to the holocaust.
Did she not know that a family with 19 kids was pro-life. How could this possibly have been a surprise?
Here’s the petition:
I’m a superfan of TLC’s family-friendly show, “19 Kids and Counting,” which follows the Duggar family, Michelle, Jim Bob, and their 19 J-named children[1]. Though their conservative Christian views are very different from my own (I’m a pro-choice, observant Jew,) I like following the antics of a big rowdy family.
But this time, their right wing views have gone too far. In a recent speech at the Values Voter Summit Jim Bob Duggar compared America today to Nazi Germany. Why? Because of abortion. When asked to explain, he said that the millions of legal abortions that have occurred since Roe v. Wade was decided are an ongoing “baby holocaust.”
I take this seriously, because my grandfather was very nearly a victim of the Holocaust. He fled Austria after the Nazis had come to power, making his way to the United States, a land of freedom. He was also a lifelong progressive, who supported a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions.
Let’s be clear: America today is nothing like Nazi Germany, and a woman who decides to have an abortion is not taking part in a Holocaust.
Please join me in telling TLC and Discovery Media to cancel the Duggars’ show, “19 Kids and Counting,” and stop rewarding people who misuse the history of the Holocaust to play politics with women’s rights.
Here’s the thing folks. Pro-lifers don’t believe there’s any difference in worth between human beings who are born or unborn. They’re all people.
It is logic to therefore compare the killing of millions to the holocaust. But people don’t want to be reminded of that.
Who the heck gets offended by the Duggars show because they’re too pro-life? Do you realize how nuts you have to be? Did she lose the remote? Can she not turn her television off? Is someone forcing her to watch it?
One glimmer of hope for our culture which is swirling around the drain is that the petition only garnered 218 signatures so far.

I agree with the lady. Silence all opposing thought. Suppress all dissenting ideas….wait a minute. That WAS the nazis. Seriously, though I think Islam is more like nazi-ism than America, but I get the holocaust reference.

Interesting that she watches for the antics of a big family. I watch it to latch on to the discipline, love and economics that this family practices. There is no excuse to kill our children, none. 55+ million dead is a travesty and an indictment on us as a nation.

Comparing abortion to the holocaust is not a productive pro-life move. Like the crucifixion for Christians (we get very upset when it is not portrayed in a respectful way), the holocaust evokes so much emotion and is is the ultimate symbol of Jewish hatred that when pro-lifers use it to describe an equally abhorrent movement toward acceptance of abortion Jews turn us off.

"Comparing abortion to the holocaust is not a productive pro-life move."
It is productive because it is a valid comparison. In fact, abortion is way worse than the holocaust. Many times worse in the USA alone, let alone the world, with no signs of stopping. If anything pro life people should be offended at the comparison because the holocaust does not compare with the horror of abortion enough.

Actually, America is very like early 1930s Germany as the Nazis were moving into power.

The word 'holocaust' does not need to refer only to one historical era/event. It has meaning beyond Nazi Germany. What about the term 'nuclear holocaust'?
I think the lady is a political operative, out to destroy the enemies of the abortion industry. She's no fan of the Duggars.

"Nuclear holocaust" is using "holocaust" in its literal sense, "all-burning".
But I agree about this being a false-flag operation.
