This is America officially jumping the shark.

For the televised New Year’s Eve celebration we’re going to see a performance by Miley Cyrus followed by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor pushing the button to drop the ball in Times Square in New York City, according to Twitchy.

That’s great. A celebrity who is inappropriate and ruining the country by lowering its standards. And then you have Miley. I wonder if Miley will ride the ball down naked while doing that croak thing that she calls singing?

I wonder what the chances are of next year having Taylor Swift and Antonin Scalia? Probably not, right?
