OK. So the story begins with some leftist insanity.
The Dedham Public Library in Massachusetts was instructed not to put up their annual Christmas tree this year because it made “some” feel ‘uncomfortable.’
Lisa Desmond, manager of the local Endicott Branch Library, posted online that she was shocked by this because she’d never once in all her years received any backlash to the Christmas tree.
That’s because I guess she hadn’t met Human Rights Commissioner Diane Loud, who quickly unleashed her ugly inside voice to the outside world.
Loud publicly blasted Desmond as “a selfish f* b” and accused her of “putting people’s lives in danger.” “For a tree? For a motherfing tree? You have put people’s lives in a lot of danger. A LOT of danger,” she continued.
Here’s her loooooong invective laden post but if you’re not in the mood to marinate in the hateful gravy of the leftist mindset, suffice it to say she no like Christians.
So much for everyone being celebrated and affirmed, huh?
I guess only some people should be celebrated and affirmed.
Once Loud’s hateful comments came to light, Loud was asked to resign as a Human Rights Commissioner.
That’s a pretty happy ending, right? But wait, there’s more. The library put up the Christmas tree. It’s like the end of a Christian movie where everything works out in the end.
I’d probably walk out of the movie feeling pretty good but I’d say, “I didn’t think the villain was realistic. Nobody’s that evil.”
And then I’d hope someone would smack me and remind me that we’re surrounded by evil and hate and not to forget it.
And then maybe there’d be a post-credit scene where the new commissioner that gets appointed is just as hateful and evil as the last one. But that wouldn’t happen, right? I’m sure they’ve learned their lesson.

So…this is the mindest of the progressives. That they are inclusive, open-minded, enlightened and due to their moral and intellectual superiority must tolerate us knuckle-dragging mouth breathers? I’d laugh if I didnt work with similar types who feel that all of this simply justifies and validates their values and actions. They are truly blinded as to their own anger, hatred and darkness. They think its light, but the only star they are getting light from is luciferous.

As a dear old friend used to say, “She showed her a** and got nothing for the showing”.

Well. Ms. Loud certainly has an apt and descriptive name!
My BIL is a Turkish Muslim, who lived in the US for several years while earning his university degree. He is not particularly religious. But he very much enjoyed Christmas season here in the US, including beautifully decorated Christmas trees. And he attended Mass with our family because he loved the music – no chance of converting, but he wanted to experience it all.
He was saddened when he visited London and found a more subdued atmosphere, carefully devoid of the usual Christmas joy and exuberance he found here.
The point is, whether we are religious or not, Christmas is part of our culture. To whitewash it away is to deny and shutter away the uniqueness and “personality” of what is particularly appealing and good about our country, not to mention the most beautiful of Christian holidays.
I express myself badly, but I hope you understand what I have written. Don’t let the bad guys win. Let’s celebrate Christmas with all the joy that is in us and not be ashamed! And let’s not let the sour-faced, condescending of us scold and legislate us into a neutral, soulless society.

I’m troubled by the defense of Christmas on the grounds of its cultural significance. Our culture is changing dramatically and while we argue over the trappings of the “holiday”, Our Lord is gladly rejected by the majority of those who claim the title “Christian”. We must push back on the foundational claims of the pagans among us and declare that Christ is king. Only then can Christian culture survive this satanic onslaught.
