There’s so much going on now that it’s impossible to keep up with the news. The one thing that unifies everything I see in the media is that I believe none of it. Everything is a lie. That’s how I see everything presented to us. Sadly, I think I’m right about 90 percent of the time.

The ground under is unfirm. It is moving. Our foundations are cracked. Nobody believes anything. Let’s just take recent major events. People on the right think the Secret Service and perhaps other agencies may have been behind the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. I mean, there’s a guy bringing a rifle, a range finder, and a ladder and crawling up on a building and nobody noticed him? Many on the left believe the attempt was set up by Trump himself and that it was all an act.

We all saw the same thing and none of us have any belief in what the government says about it or what the media says about it. How long can this country survive this?

I fear not long.

The one thing that gives me hope is that perhaps we will all learn not to put our faith in political parties or leaders. The only thing worth believing in is Christ. He is the only foundation that will last forever.

We can only move this world if we have another world to stand on. We do. The problems we face in our culture can only be fixed by a mass conversion. These are spiritual problems. We no longer see life as sacred. We no longer love our fellow humans. We abort the unborn and starve the old to death. On top of that we call it a mercy.

We are called to resist this but we must remember that we are called to fight this fight but not necessarily to win. When the apostles were sent out on a divine mission things didn’t seem to go all that well. Most of them ended up dead in the worst way possible pretty quick. On any worldly scoreboard, that’s an L. But the victory is not supposed be ours. The victory is Christ’s. It’s up to Him to transform our efforts into His plan.

Your soul is more important than the fate of a country.

Have faith. And resist the culture. Preach Christ.

God has a plan for you. You might not like it. But just continue loving Him.
