You’ve got to devote nine minutes to this. It’s definitely worth it. It just keeps getting better/worse every single minute. It makes me happy and sad at the same time that the internet was ever invented.

I give up. I couldn't get past "African country in Asia." Hopefully the apologetics are better than the geography.
December 3, 2009 at 3:20 pm
No. The apologetics are worse. Much much worse.

Two well meaning Christians, maybe not quite prepared for what they were trying to do – but I can't get over their ignorance of geography, nations and peoples. Reminds me of the King of the Hill show when Henry Hill and his friends meet their new neighbor from Thailand. All they knew to ask him was "Are you Japanese or Chinese?"

Apparently these kids have missed the whole Trinity thing…

Reminds me of the satirical red nation video commenting on Sotomeyer being nominated to the SCOTUS.
Jackie: Congratulations to Sotomeyer, the first Mexican nominated to SCOTUS.
Dun Lap: Don't be racist Rufus, she's Puerto Rican.
Jackie: No I'm not, all Mexicans are the same to me.
Enjoy!

Oh dear Lord, the pain!
I had to stop after about 3 minutes. I was afraid I would die of the embarrassment I feel for all three of these girls.
I'll try again when I've been drinking. Maybe that will help the social anxiety by proxy I'm feeling.

This has got to br fake.
December 3, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Tell me this is a joke. Tell me these two American girls aren't that clueless…oh. Nevermind.
If these girls weren't allowed to say "like", would they be able to speak at all?
December 3, 2009 at 6:38 pm
Yeaaah….I could't get past 2 minutes. I wonder if I was like that back in the day?!
December 3, 2009 at 7:00 pm
Oh, the agony. I had to watch the whole thing, and it was both hilarious and painful. Looks like all three of those girls need prayers (and don't we all?!). Thanks for posting this. It reminds me of my high school years when I wasn't all that sure what to believe and how to explain what little I grasped at the time to anyone else. I will always remember my poor dad telling me, "I'll always love you–even if you are a heathen." He wasn't judging me by saying that. He was just acknowledging that I hadn't really turned to God yet. He was much better at articulating what he believed, though, and he made me want to be able to do the same.

Couldn't make it past 5 min. Too painful.

Let me try this again.
I got about five minutes into this video before I had to stop. I wanted to pull my hair out! Too many "likes" and "ums" peppered in their chat. Even after the Indian girl explained she wasn't African, the other girl persisted to say "African or Asian, but you look African" . . . What a dumdum! I'm afraid, this video is a pretty good show on how our kids are doing in school these days. Many go to school with iPods shoved in their ears and their phones texting away . . . It really is an effort to educate at/from home on top of the mindless hours they spend in the system. The geography bit was painful!
My daughter told me a girl in her class did not know the name of or the color needed to colour a famous, well-known Christmas flower: poinsettia. Give me a break! Really? I think some things are common knowledge, right? Am I wrong? Shouldn't American kids know that????
December 3, 2009 at 10:20 pm
What a bunch of friggin morons. I would kill my kids if they were this stupid. "Why are you leaving?"… well why do you think she's leaving? Because you said you couldn't hang out with someone who didn't believe like you…. so friggin stupid.
Now granted, she is damned to hell for not believing in Jesus.

I AM SO HAPPY THERE WAS NO YOUTUBE etc. when I was their age. OMG.
December 3, 2009 at 10:55 pm
There is no way this is serious. This has to be a joke.
December 3, 2009 at 10:59 pm
You guys, this IS A JOKE!!!! Even the Indian girl drops her accent mid-way through then catches herself.
December 3, 2009 at 11:16 pm
These poor kids are trying to use the battering ram of truth method to covert this poor girl and they are very ill prepared for it, giving – at best – incomplete truths. Sadly they probably did more to alienate this girl than convert her, and not wanting to be friends was a terrible mistake.
Also, their ignorance of the world is astonishing.
December 4, 2009 at 12:34 am
Well, this is what happens when we are constantly reminded from the pulpit that " we " the ordinary pew warmers have a duty to " convert " our neighbors. Advise that I find sadly misplaced. Our Lord never intended the average Catholic to take up active evangelization. Probably for the same reasons these girls should give it up. We are not prepared intellectualy nor by training.
