Yes, I am profoundly amazed that people will wail and weep for a burnt stump and ignore the babies that are slaugtered by the minute. I just don't get it other than some form of denial i.e. an animal activist may be compensating because of a guilt feeling from an abortion; but trees?
Poor mixed-up, messed-up souls. The screaming should come from all of us for the blood of un-born children who were slain in their own Mother's wombs. Fifty million and counting. Now our leaders in government would have us pay for this abomination with our tax money. Have mercy on us, Lord, do not requite us according to our crimes.
These are people who are incapable of having human relationships. They find some solace and comfort in inanimate objects. You, like the people who've outgrown their teddy bears but still drive around with them in the car. May God have mercy on them and comfort them in their confusion.
This is why Earth Day is stupid. Given all of the natural disasters lately it's not like the earth has been exactly friendly to us. I say we destroy the earth now before it destroys us. Too many trees have fallen on innocent lumberjacks! Too many have stood idly in the way of cars driven by drunk drivers! If trees are so eager to harm us why save them? Kill the trees and destroy the earth!!!
My 10yr old daughter laughed hysterically. Then she recoverd. Then the woman talked about the awesome living rock. My daughter is still rolling on the floor in pain and laughter!
One other sad thing about it – they pervert any legitimate sense of good environmental stewardship.
It's a matter or priorities. It's not wrong to wish for the preservation of old growth forests, for instance. But to wish for it – ah – THIS way? Whew!
When you put the "love" of the forest before the love of people (and GOD) it is nothing short of….
Years ago, in the Dark Ages–they would have locked up these folks, and considered them witches.
Do they have jobs, do they mingle with average people or is this some sort of cult where they have been brain washed? I guess they can't cry and moan like this for the murdered babies?
And I wonder why a human fixation can get to this point for animals and vegetation– but not infants? Mrs. Scott
My favorite Earth Day celebration is the eruption of that volcano in Iceland. Wanna see what the earth can do when it wants to? How about some REAL global warming? Happy Earth Day. Kit

Um…that was really scary. Tell me when I can come out from under my covers…

I saw a poster of an unborn child with the caption, "Pretend I am a tree then try to save me."

Amazing the non reaction that the abortion of 50 million human beings gets from super environmentalists.
