The Hill is reporting that 41 Senate Democrats are drawing a line in a the sand by publicly opposing the House passed bill to cut federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the group called the cuts “extreme.”
“We write to you today to affirm our strong support for making women’s health and family planning services affordable and available, and ask that you stand with us against extreme proposals by some members of the House to eliminate support for women’s health and family planning programs and providers that serve millions of women and families,” reads the letter, which was organized by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) “We also oppose the provision in the House-passed continuing resolution that cuts Planned Parenthood health centers off from federal funds.”
There was never a chance of the bill passing the Senate so this has everything to do with the continuing resolution debate.
Pro-lifers are urging Republicans to push defunding Planned Parenthood in the next continuing resolution. This letter from 41 Democratic Senators shows solidarity with the President in their willingness to shut the government down over Planned Parenthood funding. Think about it, the Dems are saying that if they can’t keep cutting taxpayer checks to their Big Abortion overlords they will shut the government down.
To be fair, they really don’t have a choice in that their Big Abortion overlords dictate party messaging.
It seems to me that Democrats are also quite willing to shut the government down because they’re down in the polls so a nice messy game of 52 Card Pickup sounds like a good idea about now. They need a game changer and this might be it.
I’m not sure how it would turn out if the GOP forced the issue. I honestly don’t. I know that people don’t support funding abortions and that’s exactly what we’re doing by funding Planned Parenthood. But the Republicans stink at messaging and the media will be against them every minute of the day so I could easily see them losing in the polls. But in the end I don’t care because if the GOP isn’t going to stand up for life they’re not going to stand up for anything and I have no use for them.
So come on Republicans take a stand. I’m up for a standoff for life. How ’bout you?

There is no nobility and honor in the Democrats ideals – specially in this case, shutting down the government because the budget won't fund public abortions. Sheesh… sometimes I wonder why there are Democrats then I see the normal distribution curve and realize where the 3rd and 4th quartiles are coming from.

Even as I worry about our next paycheck, I will stand up for life. It has to happen.

Amen KC!!!
The reason we are in the economic mess we're in right now is because we've been in a cultural mess for that much longer. It's time to stand for life.
Anyway we can write or contact Repubs and lend them our support in opposing funding of abortion.
I for one am excited by the prospect, I never thought I'd see it in my lifetime:) God, give us the will to repent and of this grave national sin and to turn our great country back over to Your divine providence.

Translation: At least 41 U.S. Senators have accepted a racially cleansed version of eugenics.
What more could we possibly learn about Planned Parenthood before enough is enough? The list now includes covering up: infanticide, statutory rape, and the forced prostitution of underage girls. Not too mention that defenders of Planned Parenthood now accuse pro-life advocates of being racist for being concerned about the high number of abortions in African-American communities. No, it is the Left who have adopted eugenics and now justify the murder of minority babies in terms of reproductive and economic justice. In their minds, poor lives are unworthy of life, and it is better to pre-emptively kill poor minority babies than to let them live.

Both of my state's senators are on the list. I have contacted their offices to register my displeasure.
Again.

Find it ironic a bit how the Dems are very willing to (once again) put out military families and allow them to go hungry and not pay their bills in order for Planned Parenthood to continue their slaughter. And they blame us Conservatives of being against helping poor people or other social issues. I can't help but shake my head and fully believe they truly are THE stupidest people on this earth.

Am I the only one having a surge of adrenaline when he reads that abortion be something to do with "women's health"?

If the GOP doesn't shut PP funding off, they permanently lose my vote—-

"Am I the only one having a surge of adrenaline when he reads that abortion be something to do with 'women's health'?"
Oh my, no, mundabor. They do have something to do with women's health: they wreck it.
