How much you wanna’ bet a lawsuit comes out of this? Passengers on a plane bound for England were flying along when all of a sudden announcement came on to inform them they were all about to become fish food.
Fox News reports:
Passengers flying over the Atlantic were terrified when it was announced twice that their plane could be about to crash.
British Airways (BA) Flight 206 was at 35,000 feet (10,668 meters), halfway from Miami to London’s Heathrow Airport, when the taped message was played by accident.
Screams rang out as it was repeated straightaway.
An Edinburgh man said, “It was about 3:00am. An alarm sounded, and we were told we were about to land in the sea. I thought we were going to die. My wife was crying, and passengers were screaming. Then they played an announcement telling us to just ignore the warnings.”
Another passenger said, “When we landed, they were handing out letters apologizing, but it was the worst experience of my life. I don’t think BA should get away with this.”
So instead of being happy that you’re still alive and not at the bottom of the ocean, you’re going to be angry and mad that some stupid recording scared the snot out of you for a few minutes. Just take it as a reminder that life is short and fleeting and be grateful for every second. Hey, be grateful it was only the recording device that malfunctioned.
Wouldn’t you just love to hear someone go through something like this and say it just made everything in their life better? It made them count their blessings or forgive some old grudge? Instead, we’d rather whine and lawyer up.
