This is nuts and exactly why so many Catholics just don’t trust Catholic schools. A Kindergarten age boy at a Catholic school in England reportedly called a pair of shoes, “gay.”
Well, this set off every politically correct alarm and I’m just surprised the EU didn’t send troops into the playground to begin re-education immediately. No, the re-education came from the Catholic school itself in the form of an invitation to a radical gay group to teach the children sensitivity and sexual equality.
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, The Telegraph is reporting that the local archdiocese of Southwark approved of this lunacy.
Stonewall is the name of the group brought in to re-educate the kids. If you check out their website, the first thing you see is a banner saying “Say ‘I do’ to Equal Marriage.” The page on the site concerning the program they ran at the Catholic school includes this banner.
Reportedly, the school is now the first Catholic primary school in the country to be listed as a Stonewall “Primary School Champion” of gay equality. Yay!!!

Yes, this kind of shenanigan is exactly why our Catholic family doesn't trust Catholic schools.

Oh wow this is bad
Catholics just need to homeschool and stop even trying to send kids to school

I had a pair of gay shoes once. The left shoe was paired with the left shoe. I don't stand for that sort of thing under my roof so I threw them out. The last I heard, they were living at a Goodwill down in San Francisco.

Child abuse. A terrible assault on the minds and souls of innocent children. Where are the parents, the Bishop, the priest? Noone to protect them and safeguard the integrity of the Catholic school. The Head ought to be sacked – with due process of course. That would happen if we had Catholic Bishops that took responsibility for ensuring that Catholic schools in their dioceses were being run in conformity to the Faith. The parents ought to be demanding she is dismissed.

Uhhhh……(blank stare….jaw drops to floor).
I know it's England, but doesn't the diocese know they are Catholic? Maybe they need to relearn the teachings and not assume loving your neighbor means condoning everything your neighbor does, but loving them = keeping them from sin, as you should yourself.

The head teacher doesn't seem to be aware that the word 'gay' no longer means 'homosexual' in England. It now means something similar to 'cool' or 'terrific'. Many years ago the word 'gay' meant 'light-hearted' or 'full of mirth', before it was distorted by the homosexual community to mean something quite different. That 5-year-old boy has obviously picked up the latest meaning of the word from his peers when they were talking about someone's property.

Happens all over. My wife and I pulled our children from a catholic archdiocesan parish school in Washington, DC when, after a 5th grade mean girl called a 2nd grade boy "gay", the principal sent in the non-catholic "school counselor" to teach the entire assembled 2nd grade that "gay" is when God touches a person's soul in a certain way and makes that person "special."
Our children are now at single sex, independent, traditional Catholic schools in Maryland

What would you do if a 5yo said, "Hey, look at your ni**er shoes!!"

GSmith has his hands on the pulse of culture; a flow of information percolates through him and he rides the foamy first wave of the zeitgeist.
"I see it now," he gasps, "Children everywhere use the word "gay" to express that things are "cool." And black… is white? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?"
GSmith collapses to the ground, his mind a broken ruin.

We need Catholic nuns and sisters to teach in our Catholic schools.

"GSmith has his hands on the pulse of culture;…" – Anonymous
He also has the courage to publish his real name, and not hide behind a cloak of anonymity.

Yeah because "GSmith" is an entirely identifiable moniker. What's your real name? Address? Phone #? E-Mail? Didn't think so.

The Church itself might have been infiltrated by homosexuals. So, there.
May 16, 2013 at 3:16 pm
Infiltrated? Good. The church needs some excitement.

G'Smith clapped his hands to gather the attention of his younglings. They snapped to attention, laying aside their toys, strangely looping non-Euclidian gyroscopes.
"Today, we learn of the founding of this nation. G'Washington, T'Jefferson, and B'Franklin were instrumental in the establishment of the United States of America."

Father O'Flannagan's chest rippled and thinned, extruded a translucent sphere filled with blush-colored streams of organs. Rick's mind flashed to the church raffle's fishbowl and its belly of red tickets; the gaping horror had to be reconciled with the familiar. The sphere continued to grow, spinning off globes of jelly that slowly resolved and solidified into the basic essentials of the human form, arms, legs, a head with strangely familiar features. As the skin of the bubble-congeries colored towards flesh, Rick had one last glimpse of a full set of organs, a life-size illustrated man. And then the features of the face resolved, and Rick was startled to find two Father O'Flannagans locked in an embrace, their tongues probing the mouth of the other, the connection of jelly still extant between their chests.
"Join us, Rick," the Fathers chorused, "Join us in HOMOSEX."

Sodom meets Gomorrah. Talk to Obama and the Muslims. Christians don't homosex.

Come now, Rick. We all know you love it up the rear.
