The poor bishops are trying to be cool and staying up to date so they released this ridiculously instantly outdated video where they blast the immigration policies of the Trump Administration. They do the thing where it’s all one big speech but different bishops each get their part. So 2008, amirite?
Look, should we treat immigrant as brothers in Christ, sure but do they all get to stay? No. Is deporting illegal immigrants an anti-Christian act?
Of course, the bishops don’t want to get tied down on particulars so they keep it all vague.
But if they’re now stepping up to the mic for this issue. What about abortion? There have been tens of millions of victims of abortion since 1973. Like 65 million. And that ain’t deportation. That’s death.
You got a nice video for that, bishops?
How about for the trans ideology that is running rampant through our schools and endangering children? Gotta’ video for that? I’m looking on your site but I didn’t see it.
This is all so pathetic.

I get very tired of being told by the Church that if I do not welcome all immigrants, I’m not being fully prolife. I accept immigration, legal immigration. Our country is not anti immigrant when we allow about a million immigrants into our country every year using legal means. If someone say’s they are seeking asylum then we have legal ports of entry where they can present their cases.
No Bishops, we are welcoming of the immigrants, but unlike the USBCC we do NOT entice people to come in and break the law by making sure they know that money, clothes and shelter is available even if they cross illegally. That is enticing people to sin USCCB. If the word goe’s out south of the border that we don’t promote illegal immigration, but if you DO cross illigally, no worries, we have money and food for all of them. That is tax payer money, NOT charity Bishops.
Bishops, when was the last time you told all those millions of illegal immigrants that they are to respect their host nation, not to change culture and spiritual community that they now live in, and to work, pay taxes and assimilate in the nation and not put so much pressure on our healthcare system.
Why don’t you scream as loud about abortion? Oh I get it. The bottom line. Insulted? So are we when you didn’t say boo to Biden about abortion, constantly hammering him about abortion like you do to this administration for immigration. You yourselves have said that abortion is the preeminant issue. If so ACT like you mean it.
The president took an oath of office to enforce the laws of this nation and that includes immigration laws. You don’t like that laws? Scream at congress. He’s enforcing what is already on the books, laws that were there before he was elected. No Bishops. Don’t ask for taxpayer money. There is too much of it and too much of a temptation to siphon some off and certainly not enough oversight on where it goes.
I don’t give to Catholic Charities anymore. Honestly? I fill the poor box at my Church instead. I’m a believer in subsidiarity. Start at home. Don’t tell me the poor coming across the border are worse than some of the poor of my parish. Catholic Charites or the Poor Box. Both are charity. I don’t trust Catholic Charities.
Put your concern on abortion the way you do about immigration. You may retain some integrity.
