Hillary survives another day. Be wary, be very wary.
After suffering defeat after defeat in the primaries, Hillary the original presumed nominee faltered, written off by just about everybody. But are the Democrat faithful experiencing a bad case of buyers remorse?
While Hillary has not done much to alter her delegate deficit, with apparent wins in Ohio and Texas, Hillary has done what she needed to do. In my mind, she is now more dangerous than ever. Imagine this scenario. After suffering many defeats, Hillary begins to win again. The story will be that the Democrat base is having second thoughts about Obama. Then the story may shift to how Hillary is the new come back kid. Even if she does not make up much of the delegate deficit, and the math is not on her side, with enough momentum the math may not matter. Hillary only needed a justification for keeping her fight alive to the convention. Now she has it. She will do anything, anything, to take the nomination.
I would not be surprised if Obama starts to hear some tougher questions. I would also not be surprised by a growing number of stories referring to the unsinkable Hillary Clinton. The new comeback kid. You just can’t defeat the Clintons.
In fact, resurrected Hillary is already speaking of the possibility of a joint ticket. Trust me when I tell you that she does not want to be V.P.
Remember that monsters such as Hillary are much more dangerous when they come back from the dead. Zombies are always harder to kill.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Aim for the head.

I subscribe to the theory that John McCain and the Republicans will be much tougher on Hillary than Obama so it would be better if Hillary was the nominee. After all, McCain has already said that race and Obama’s middle name are off limits.
Plus, 50% of the country HATES Hillary- that is good ammunition for November.

Pat, you agree with Christopher Hitchens (who showed up on Morning Joe obviously still drunk). Hitchens said, “Anyone who like me when they think about the Clintons thinks about zombies, thinks about the undead, thinks about stakes through the heart, silver bullets and so on, has just received confirmation. It’s as bad as we thought it was going to be.”

You sound just like my husband. He was quite upset that she is still in the race. He can’t stand her or her sleazy husband and doesn’t believe the Obamarama can win the general election. I’m not so sure about that myself.

Months ago a small group of Republican senators, speaking off record, said that Hillary was already assured the nomination–all the rest is window dressing.
This same senatorial group, save one, also admitted a deal had been cut between Wm. Clinton and the Republicans in the House–that Clinton would be publicly thwacked over his perjury (Monica et al) but that he would NOT be removed from office–why? Because to many Republicans have skeletons in the closet and the Clintons know which doors to rattle.
Be very wary indeed.

I am convinced McCain can beat her… I was pretty certain that he can’t beat Obamma – youth, beauty and platitudes always win the day.
Yesterday like a lot of GOP members with nothing better to do I voted in the democratic primary hoping to keep the defeatable candidate either alive, or at least in the race long enough to prevent the race from becoming “Obamma v. McCain” just yet… The blanket uncritical love show BO thus far had me very worried that the McCain campaign could NOT handle that… BO is a fundraising machine at that.

I think the best thing that can happen is for HIllary to steal the nomination. Barack refuses the Veep slot because he knows that spot is death to his political career. You’ll have such a disenfranchised group of Obama supporters who hate Hillary. That leaves a very hobbled Hillary taking on a fresh McCain.

I think this is the reason that Obama lost in OH, TX, and RI yesterday:

I guess you could say it was his Dukakis moment…

I am all for McCain, but I hope Hillary wins the nomination for two reasons. If she becomes President, she’ll be better than Obama, but if she doesn’t, I think McCain will be more likely to beat her in November than Obama. I dislike him so much, I kind of like her (I know… it’s crazy what the world’s come to)
